Montessori Toys Infant Coin Box

I will update my review if I ever need to but this is the perfect thing that I needed for my daughter. She had an evaluation for autism and she was diagnosed with a delay due to failing some of the tests one of which was being able to put a coin into a coin slot my daughter had never done this before because we don't ever let her play with a piggy bank or change. After her evaluation I was determined to find something similar so I could practice with her. Within minutes she was able to do it with this toy. The quality is amazing and I would definitely buy again for any of my friends children

I’m very much about Montessori toys. This is one of my granddaughters favorite toys. I like how it teaches object permanence, sorting and fine motor skills. We counted and named colors. Once she was able to push the coins Thru I turned it in a diagonal. This was more difficult but again it’s the process of learning Thru challenges. Box is well made. Drawer slides in and out smoothly. Purchased when she was 11 months. Needed some guidance. At about 12 months played nicely on her own and didn’t need help. Coins are sized for small hands I don’t believe a toddler could choke if they put the coins in their mouth but would supervise.

My 13 month old daughter LOVES this toy. As soon as I opened it she was excited. It's just enough of a challenge for her to get her thinking and striving but not to hard that it causes her frustration. Very well made and perfect for little hands. This is one toy that has truly captured her attention. You could see that glowing confidence on her face once she mastered it. She's even found her own different ways of playing with it as well. Such a great purchase.

I admit, I let my baby play with this before 1 year old. She was great about just grabbing the coins and opening the container until she hit about 10 months. She put a coin in her mouth the long way/flat and I kind of freaked out. I confiscated the coins for now, but she still loves to play with just the drawer part. I truly think the age to safely play with this toy without really close supervision is going to be older than 12 months. I still would recommend this toy, just make sure you watch your baby!

EDITED: This company is wonderful to work with and produce an excellent product that both my 1 and 2.5 yr old enjoy. There was an issue with the product originally, but their response was immediate and they remedied the issue by refunding me and sending me a new one free of charge! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very nice design of box and the coins; however, I tried fitting several of the coins through the slot and none of the ones I tried fit. I tried wiggling and pushing, but they did not fit. It’s unfortunate, because it would be a great product if they actually fit.

My 13 month has been playing with this since she was 11 months. It still gives her joy like the first day I showed it to her. She has developed tremendously just from this single toy. I’ll be sure to get every Montessori toy out there!

I really like this coin box for my 15 month old. It's sturdy and has held up well. Unlike others I researched, there was no odd smell after opening and the coins were much larger than I expected, which was a great thing as she loves to put everything in her mouth! The coin size and thickness makes them easy to hold for little hands but not easy to swallow!! I love the all natural wood look for this toy as it falls in line with our montessori style. I would definitely recommend this product!!
