I can’t remove the inner plastic piece to shorten the rope. How do you remove this piece?

Unscrew tip end of handle, then you slide out the elastic rope with the plastic adjust/holder. Pull the ope as you hold the adjuster to shorten the rope and then slide it all back in the handle and screw closed.

How much does rope weigh?

Extremely light (2 oz?) and I had to learn to use it to avoid missteps. A heavier rope would be nice.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. These are adjustable so you never have too much length. The travel bag is great so you can take them wherever you go!
