Amy is amazing
Great puppet! We gave it to our 3 & 4 year old. Yes, they tangled it quickly, but it was easy to fix. Even after a week with the two preschoolers, we simple untied the strings to reset the puppets. There is a release thing-a-ma-jig on the handle which was very helpful.

My daughter loves it but I do wish the strings were of better quality because they get tangled SO easily

Just a Cloth Doll Attached to A Few Strings
All this is is a cloth doll attached to a few strings. The same string pulls a leg and an arm on the same side, meaning you only have two movements with this puppet, not four or more. There are no joints or anything else required in a real marionette. Kids would be bored in an instant. Go find a cheap doll and tie on strings and you will save money and have the same product in the end.

String Marionette
The product arrived in a bag, stapled label to bag. It appears to be a Dollar General product. I am not returning it because my 6 year old granddaughter will not recognize the product quality (I did) and will be a good marionette to practice with, but I was disappointed.

Great Friend !
My one year old granddaughter's face really lights up when she sees Amy. Right now, she's too young to let her get too close to Amy. When she does, she wants to pull on her strings and Amy gets all tangled up. Whenever she comes for a visit, Amy is always there to greet her (we have her hanging just out of reach on a wall planter). Her face lights up and she waves the minute she sees her friend Amy ! She loves it when I move Amy along the floor and make her dance ... and she always loves a hug from Amy. I am considering getting Amy a boyfriend !
