If i wanted to use this to replace a rubber plug on a latch kit used to hold a smoker/grill door closed approx 250-350° for hours, would it melt?

I use these plugs in my composites oven at 450F for hours.

Can these be used as a plug on a tea kettle?

While they would fit the application, we don't recommend these for direct food contact as they are not manufactured for such uses.

Are these safe for capping food bottles, like pickled food or olive oil?

These products are manufactured for metalworking and masking purposes so we cannot recommend them for use with food.

Great would buy again if needed

Very high quality silicone. I had to buy a multi pack for my stainless steel chicken waterer. It came with a nasty rubber plug but the silicone has no off smell. Good value for the use.
