IPG for Garmin Descent Mk2 - Mk2i Hydrogel Screen Protector (2 Units) Invisible HD Clear Film Anti Scratch Guard-Smooth/Self-Healing/Bubble for Mk2/Mk2i

This is the second screen protector I’ve bought for my Garmin Mk3i after I scratched the face. This went on easily and the instructions were very easy to follow. I was skeptical, but this protector held up to a week of 4 dives a day in Bonaire. I’m going to buy this for all of my devices. Hands down the best protector I’ve ever used. The package that was sent was for a different model, but worked with my watch model. I let the protector set over night and waited a week before I took it on a dive.

So I’m a dive instructor and never have more than a day or two at most out of the water. Other screen protectors eventually fail and peel off from water exposure, not this one though! It was also easy to install I’m 3 months in on the first cover. Zero issues. Even had a few good bangs and scratches but they heal over in a day or so. You can tell there is a cover on the watch but it’s impact is negligible compared to the benefits

Followed installation directions: wet fingers with dishsoap/water solution; VERY difficult to peal screen protector from backing, finally had to use finger nail and scrape against edge until it released; got sticky side wet with dishsoap/water solution; screen protector lined up nicely and covered whole face; bubbles were easy to squeegee out; BIG flaw in center of screen protector that makes it look like I have scratch in the watch face; except for flaw not screen protector is near invisible; adhering well to watch; haven't tried scuba in salt water with it yet but no issues in shower; haven't been able to register product yet due to site just spinning when registration submitted; if it wasn't for the flaw and difficulty of removing from backing it'd get a five; flaw knocks it down to 1 star from 4;

This product does exactly what it is made for. It protects your screen. When paying $1000 or more for a Descent MK1 the last thing you want is to ruin It with a scratched screen. The IPG screen protector was easy to apply, stays in place, is extremely durable, and is bubble free. I where my Mk1 everyday to use as a Fitbit and smart watch as well as a dive computer. I can see a couple marks on the screen protector which would have been devastating had it been my screen. I highly recommend you protect your investment with this product.

Since there are no reviews for this I figured I would write one. Seems like the MK3 is something of a niche product because there are very few screen protectors available for it. That also explains why these cost twice what they should. These are the flexible plastic kind - because there aren't any hard glass ones available, which is unfortunate. It doesn't seem quite as good as the flexible plastic Super Shieldz screen protectors I purchased for my Garmin 965 (not as clear) but it stays on and is of decent quality.

Have some small spots on mine from particles trapped before application. But honestly, this screen protector does the trick. Use it on my Mk3i, and it has worked great so far. Gives me some peace of mind, as my prior Mk got scratched up pretty bad on the screen.

The shield installs really easily and looks good on the watch, actually made the screen glossier and nicer. The problem is that the Garmin charger damages it relatively quickly with normal use and you have to replace it frequently or find a way to “protect the shield” while charging.

The protector is a little smaller than the watch face, so it was very easy to apply. It's completely invisible. The touch screen still works the same. I'm going diving next week, so I'll see how it lasts, but so far it's perfect.

Entiendo que su funcionalidad es para rayarse en lugar del reloj, pero en verdad son muy frágiles y se rayan con mucha facilidad, entonces protege tu reloj, pero le da un aspecto descuidado y maltratado si no las cambias constantemente.

Intenté 4 veces (compré el producto un par de veces) y no pude instalarlo. Tengo practica en instalar micas protectoras, pero setas son toda una historia. busquen otra alternativa
