Great addition to homeschool library.
If you canโt explain it simply you donโt understand it well enough, right? I love these books along with Astrocat for making complex topics digestible and enjoyable for all levels and ages. At 35 I am still learning new things alongside my 10 year old. We will always keep these as some of our most treasured reference books.

Incorrect physics and vague wording
Unfortunately, the authors went as far as stating that speed and velocity are the same thing. They are not and the difference is critical. Then, they try to explain relative velocity without bothering much to explain the meaning of velocity overlooking the need to discuss direction. Some other choices are also questionable. They introduce SI units and then use miles rather than kilometres in their examples. The unit 'metre' is also repeatedly spelled incorrectly. One third through and I feel obliged to stay close to my son to monitor the text and make sure that he does not assimilate wrong ideas. It is disappointing.

Special relativity not general relativity
Great book that explains the complicated science of Einstein's theory of special relativity in a way that everyone, including children, can get a basic understanding. It is worth noting that this book focuses in "special relativity" and not "general relativity". Would be good to know if there is a book in this series that focuses on general relativity...?
