Swagman Retro Bicycle Basket

This is by far the sturdiest basket I’ve ever owned. It attaches securely and does not flop around. Very well made.

I bought several different types of baskets for my bike until I finally found the absolute most perfect one. * so easy to install. took me 10 minutes * attaches and detaches with a simple click of a release button. this feature makes it so convenient for me bc I live in a large apt building with lots of people coming and going. When I get home, I can just lock my bike up and take the basket with me. * extremely sturdy and stable. My 6 pound Maltipoo is safe and secure in this thing. He has plenty of room to move around and i even attached a water dispenser to the basket so he can drink whenever he's thirsty. * it comes in black but bc its a wired basket, it can easily be painted if you prefer a different color. I'm an artist so I plan on custom painting it.. I really can't think of any negatives about the product. I'm really pleased with my purchase. You can't go wrong with this basket.

Almost Awesome design and mounting! Bought this for my wife's bike. But the handlebar mount is 1/4 inch to wide for this mount. Ended up putting it on my bike. Very sturdy and would definitely purchase again if they made the mount slightly wider.

Love this basket. It's a decent size, not too big, not too small. I live in an apartment building, and share a bike rack. Needless to say, there is a lot of jamming in bikes, etc. This works out perfect. I leave the basket in my apartment, and when I need it, I take it with to the bike rack and put it on, and I'm all set. Assembly was easy, it's made well, and very easy to put on, and take off. I bought this one over some of the other popular baskets because there seemed to be a lot of people that had issues with the basket coming off the handle bars when they hit a bump. A few more dollars, but I think it was worth it. I have had no problems with this basket. Recommend.

This basket is very sturdy and secure. It help my 2 literally bottles and I wasn't worried about it falling. It didn't sway my bike a bit while stationary, but was so sturdy while riding. I love the fact that the basket comes off for shopping. Definitely worth it

I basically got this basket because my mountain bike with front suspension doesn't allow for installing any other basket in the front. Simply, the brakes/shifters wires are taking up the whole space and any extended basket must be mounted on the wheel which doesn't work for the front suspension. The basket and its bracket are of very high quality. It is well built and feels very sturdy. The basket was very easy to install and very easy to attach/detach. I tried to load it with heavy stuff from the supermarket (several pounds, not quite sure how much, but they were heavy), and the basket was fine with them. No problems. The only thing I don't like about the basket is that, even without any load, it feels to be "heavy" on the bike when it is parked. You don't feel this problem when driving the bike, but you feel when trying to park it. Basically, the front wheel with the handle becomes so unbalanced to a point that the bike can't be parked stand still (using its little leg) with the basket installed. It will tend to tip over very easily! However, I am very happy with my purchase and I find the basket to be very convenient.

Great basket for a good price. It has a nice bracket attachment that seems very sturdy and allows you to easily disconnect the basket. I like that those pieces are plastic so that you do not have to worry about corrosion, which is a problem around the beach. The only reason I did not give this item 5 stars is the little plastic hand grip that snaps to the basket handle. It is worthless and does not stay in place well. I took it and thew it in the trash can after the first few uses...problem "solved."

I have moved to an area that is only about half a mile or less from my local market. As I need to exercise more, I decided to buy a basket for my bike so that I could cycle to the market and back instead of using the car. I checked out various products online, and the Swagman seemed to do the trick. Well, it's terrific! Very well made, the bracket is rather clever, well built, and easy to place on the handlebars. There is a bracket on the basket that clips or unclips from the bracket in a jiffy. The basket is large enough for random shopping at the market, or carrying water etc. and snacks for a bike ride. If you want something to carry on your bike, this will do the trick!

Someone told me not to order this, that same someone wasn't overly impressed when it arrived. That someone is my spouse who has since eaten their words - they love it! The thing that is most loved is the versatility, ease of adjustment or removal, and that it included all the tools along with multiple brackets, screws, nuts, bolts etc.; everything needed to mount it on ANY bike. Was it a bit pricey, sure, but after how pleased we have been with the sturdiness of the other Swagman products (love the folding metal mesh panniers) we had purchased, and all our cycling friends accolades we are converts and willing to pay a higher price for a premium product. Trust me, it is SOOOO worth it. Most likely this will be where one of our K9 or Feline residents will hang out on when their humans go out touring!

en general me parece muy buen producto por demas practico y funcional, en relacion a que soporta mas de 5kg me parece algo elevado ya que debido al sistema de acople que tiene y los materiales de construccion de brazo es un factor a considerar al momento de transportar mas de 4kg

I absolutely love, love, love my bike basket. Shaped with a designer ‘s eye. Very smart looking, highly functional and strongly made. Comes off like a charm and easy to put back on. Great carrying handle on it. Material is solid and rust resistant. Sits handsomely on my bike handle bar and doesn’t interfere with brakes etc but doesn’t stick out like a sorrow thumb. I get a lot of compliments on it. I even detach it from my bike and use it in the house or shopping. Just right size. Not bulky but not too small.
