This is the second unit that I have installed without any problems. The earlier was purchased by my friend and I help with the installation. In order to extend the cable, you need to buy a sperate UTP cat5 cables (4 core multi stranded cable) and electrical tape, which should be available in any hardware or electric stores. The connecting and installation part is easy. The brightness, contrast, volume and clarity of the unit are excellent. I just need to press the unlock/lock button for control. I think it's an outstanding doorbell that could set your mind at peace.

The system arrived much earlier than expected. It was easy to connect and set-up. I did not intend to use the unlock (door/gate) option. Being in South Africa, I did need to get an adapter for US to SA plugs but otherwise very happy with the purchase.

Tried to get wiring diagram in advance but no luck they do not seem to want to hare one. I wanted to see if it could use my in wall wiring which would be very difficult to replace. Have not tried it install yet so I don't know. Here are photos of everything that came with the two monitor system, very confusing. It says that it is a 4 wire system but all the pigtails supplied are 5 wire. It also looks like the monitor to monitor looks like it might require a series connection to the 2nd monitor so that would be 8 wires. Hard to say without a diagram. Will do trial and error. Power supply for monitors i 15v dc sot eh recommended 12v is only for a striker lock solenoid it seems. Here are some photos that I would have liked to see first. Good luck. Otherwise it seems like a nice unit. But if I can't use my existing wiring it has to go back.

This phone does not connect to the internet so you do not have to worry about companies like Ring who spy on you. The video screen has a very clear image but I used my own larger diameter wire because the connecting wire sent with the phone is too short to be useful. The cord to the transformer is also far too short so plan on putting the receiver near an outlet. The product works perfectly and it is the best way to speak to someone at the door.

A nice little unit - in THEORY. Mismatched cable ends (had to re-solder and replace. Terrible instructions: probably translated from Cantonese or Manadarin . Poor adjustment of the too contrasty image: too washed-out. HOWEVER...if you replace enough wire and rework the cable, it is a neat idea and is great for seniors who want to "hide" from door-knockers.

Works great, fairly easy to install as an alarm technician, makes it easier ans safer for my disabled mom to find out who's at the dior.

I bought 3 of these. One installed in my tenants apartment. And 2 for me. I installed one on my first floor entrance and second in my second floor bedroom. Great monitor to monitor intercom from first floor to second floor. I did run new 4 conductor wire from my video doorbell to the monitor. Then i used a six wire conductor running from first floor to second floor monitor. Works great! Price is great too. Easy install for me. Im a skilled maintenance man.
