Toner works perfectly. Spend a few more bucks to buy the brand name toner. The generics are mostly poor quality and are likely to mess up your printer. You will regret it, I assure you.

Canon brand is always the way to go. It costs more, but the quality of printout is so much better than any of the knock offs. unfortunately, none of the inks provide the number of prints that I think we should be getting for the price.
