It will work on any Ford with thick film integrated ignition.

It should. All 351w are pretty much the same. It works great on my 89 bronco

Worked on my 92 bronco 5.8 for about 250 miles then quit

Q: Will it work on a 88 f150 inline 6?

Yes, it should be a good fit! Use a good platinum, double platinum or iridium plug with it for a hot spark. Also, you will need a good cap and rotor. And, a good set of good quality 7mm or more low impedance plug wires. You, will notice a slight power gain and faster starts. Advancing the timing a little, not to much to cause pinging, will get you some power too,
