Q: Does this chair recline?

It tilts some like a rocker. It does not recliner like a recliner. The amount of tilt is small, regulated by a lever. The chair always stays L-shaped.

Q: Are the arms of this chair made of metal or plastic?

They look metal but are indeed plastic.

Q: What is the measurement in inches between the rear of the custom (where the back touches the bottom) to the front of the cushion.

Q: I'm interested in getting this, Is their chair hard or very soft when you sit on it?

At first the seat cushion was great , but it quickly lost its shape and became very uncomfortable for me ...I had to find a seat cushion that seems to work pretty good for me now. I have this same problem with other chairs to be fair.
