How thick are these leads? I have a Staedtler compass that doesn't take 2mm leads. The hole is smaller.

I no longer have the package they came in, so I went out and measured on with dial caliper, it measures .08 inch, which converts to 2.03 mm. So they probably won't work for you. However, with my compass, model 551 40 WP(according to it's carrying pouch), I had to pry the ends out a little to get it to fit. Hope this helps

I went and measured one and they are close to what you are looking for. They are about .08 inches in diameter, or 2 mm converted. They measure .650 inches long, or 1.65 cm converted. They are replacements for Staedler model 551 40 WP compass. Hope this helps.
