Where do the spent batteries get sent?

I’ve dropped off my used batteries at my local Home Depot. You can call to see if they have the same program at your Home Depot.

Why do you say battery ends should not touch? Do they catch fire or something?

It is possible that a conductive material that touches the battery terminals could cause a short circuit and fire. I keep some tape by the recycler and ask the students to tape the terminals.

Does it battery under load?

No it just checks to see if the batteries are still good or if they are out of juice. Once you determine that then you but the batteries in the ben the bad ones. My family has been using this for 3 years now and it is a great product and works well
