What Do You Do With an Problem?

Great book may I add for 6 years old and up maybe. The beginning might be scary for younger little ones. Loved it!

As an educator, nanny and future therapist I can say that this book is a masterpiece. I bought it as a gift for a loved one who struggles with depression and I ended up buying one for myself as well. The illustration is amazing !

Great story centering around a young boy’s interaction with a problem. Loved the story and the illustrations.I love children’s books anyway for the writing is often clear, concise and the illustrations, beautiful. This book is no exception and I have already sent it to a fellow adult for inspiration and plan to use it as a gift to my grandkids and their parents.

It's a good conversation starter and reference for kids. The story has a wonderful lesson about facing problems and growing.

This story actually got my 2, almost 3 yo, to pause and think about the message. She's been struggling with handling her emotions and this story got her to pause and I could see the message really resonated with her! I want to look into the other stories in this series as well! We have the Maybe book and it's absolutely beautiful. Some of these images are on the dark side but it goes with the meaning of what a problem actually is!

Nice book; has a definite chemical odor to it though. Printers ink? Never had a book w/an odor unless it was really old, but this is brand new.

I just can't say enough positive things about this new Kobi Yamada book! From the viewpoint of a teacher and school counselor, I immediately identified so many ways that this book can help kids face problems and find the silver lining in difficult situations. So many of our students are riddled with anxiety and worry and there really isn't a great deal of information for adults to help kids take some of the weight off their overburdened shoulders. Kobi Yamada teaches kids that every problem also brings new opportunities, and with some practice, kids can learn how to extract meaning from the burdens they carry. If you're a teacher or counselor who wants to pair your book purchase with a literature unit to practice reframing problems, do a search on Teachers Pay Teachers.
