This thing worked like a charm! Connected it to my camera which is always setup on a light box so that we never have to worry about loosing connection if the battery goes down. Solid purchase for anybody needing some constant power or if somebody has the need to do work on a tripod for hours at a time.

I bought this to power my camera for a photo booth I set up for my son's birthday. I had problems with the battery not lasting the entire party in the past, so I had to figure out how to keep the camera on all day so that guests could help themselves without having to come grab me or someone to switch out batteries. This solved the problem perfectly and was very easy to set up.

Works just as it should for my Canon T3, which I use mainly with a telescope for live video viewing. The life of the battery was too short for the amount of viewing I was doing at night. Compound that with the shortened battery life in cold weather, and I was regularly concerned that the batter would run out. The cables are certainly long enough to get from my external power source to the camera. There is a little flap on the camera's battery compartment that needs to be flipped up for the power adapter cable. Glad I purchased this (and like new from Amazon Warehouse Deals).

Seems to work, just plugged it in. At first I was confused because it was not powering my camera but then I read the instructions and saw you have to close the battery cover and put the cord through this rubber flap I did not notice before. I'm using a canon T5

Works perfectly with my Canon T5 and was considerably less expensive than the Canon adapter kit.

I've purchased 8 of these adapters over the last 8 years for my small home based photo booth business. Lately I've noticed on several occasions that I'd go to an event and I can't get my camera to turn on. When I swap out the adapter for the battery, all of a sudden the camera would work. I'd check the chord to make sure that it was attached properly, then reinsert it... and nothing. If I'm willing to play with it for several minutes I can usually get it to work finally... but who has that kind of time... or patience for that matter. I talked to the people at Canon during a recent trade show and they informed me that problems like this are common with aftermarket adapters for Canon cameras.

Please note that this product fits the T3 not the T3i. Some newer camera users may not realize they are 2 completely different cameras. This fits the T3 perfectly. Also note that you need to have the battery door for this product to work. I usually use a dual battery pack when shooting photography, so I had removed the bottom door. I had to order a new one as I never considered needing it again.

The charger lights up but it wont power my camera. I have the cannon EOS 4000D. Description specified it works with this camera though it did not.
