I'm the IT guy at my company and I bought a couple of these, and the employees love them - works great and performs solid. Easy to setup and configure.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but this was a nightmare purchase. I bought 2 and when i installed them and got to the registered serial # page the serial #s on both were "already registered" i click the botton on amazon "contact manufature" in addition to calling Epson customer service directly and they said this was not their product. Amazon processed my full return right away when requested so that was nice :)

We have approximately 10 of these scanners and all have worked well. The software that comes with the scanner works well too. The scanners are able to detect and omit blank pages, scan both sides (duplex) and adjust resolution. Would recommend.

Can improve. Wish I could choose the amount of pages it looks for a barcode. (The setting that names it after the barcode). Then when it does look for barcode I notice it always includes the blank page no matter if I had skip blanks on. Also wish I could override it when it detects double feed because sometimes it’s just something that it tapped on the paper. Also can’t figure out how to have it to it opens my folder and allows me to change the name and pick the folder to saves in. Instead it just saves to one location then I need to move it from there. Otherwise it’s nice. This would make me be able to work faster.

This is a review for the Epson DS-770 II Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Let me start off by saying that this is a great scanner for quickly scanning a lot of documents. My main use was going through boxes of family photos to convert to digital. At first I was expecting it to take atleast 10 minutes to scan 4 or 5 photos at 600dpi but it was much much quicker than that. Auto feeding worked flawlessly except for one issue. But removing the jam was very easy and my document was not bent or anything. The auto document size detection also worked 90 percent of the time, even on extremely small photos and Polaroids. My main issues don’t really lie with the product itself though. Setup was kind of a pain, especially with installing drivers. When it came time to connect the scanner to the computer via cable, the instillation program would not want to detect that the scanner was connected. It took me three times to download the installer for it to work. On another note, I do wish that the scanning program would give an estimate on how much time was remaining until the batch scan was done. Other than that, I would say that this product is very much worth the cost and can be applicable in many situations.

My office has used Epson Scanners in the past and they have always done well. We bought the Epson DS-770 II Color Duplex Document Scanner to replace a previous model and it is a great upgrade. I like the scanner software that allows blank pages to be skipped when saving the scanned file. The scanner can also scan thicker paper as well, which is great for scanning cardstock type paper. I would highly recommend this scanner.
