Thick & sturdy.
Great mat! Nice thick, sturdy foam! -- Im using it along my raised garden beds so I can crawl across the area that's covered w wood chips to work. I cover up lumber edges w old staples with one edge too, and can push myself up & slide it along beneath me. Great on my knees and elbows. Eliminates the need to constantly get up & down. Nice thick, sturdy foam! Gets slippery fast if I hit it w the hose!

Durable and Comfortable Yoga Mat That Lasts
The BalanceFrom Go Yoga All Purpose Exercise Mat has proven to be a long-lasting and reliable piece of equipment. After seven years of use, it still holds up well, showing how durable the anti-tear material really is. The thickness provides great cushioning for yoga, stretching, or floor workouts, making it comfortable to use on hard surfaces without slipping. The included carrying strap makes it easy to transport to classes or the gym, and the lightweight design is convenient without sacrificing support. Even after years of use, the mat remains easy to clean and hasn’t worn down the way cheaper mats often do. While the surface may show some signs of age, the overall performance has stayed strong, which makes it an excellent value for the price.Pros: Extremely durable even after years, comfortable cushioning, and convenient with a carry strap included.Cons: The surface can show wear over time, it may feel bulky compared to thinner mats, and the texture may not suit those who prefer a firmer grip.A dependable yoga mat that lasts for years while staying comfortable and practical. For anyone looking for a durable, affordable mat, this one delivers excellent long-term value.

From a Non-Yoga enthusiast
The first time I bought a Yoga mat, I plucked it out of the bin from either Ross or TJ Maxx. Then, I decided it wasn't for me and I sold the mat. So, I wouldn't know how to pick a good mat if I fell over it. I came here and purchased this one from the reviews. Again, I'm not a die-hard Yoga-er? Yogi? So I'm probably not giving it the "workout" it needs, but here's a few things I noticed. When I unrolled it, it was nice and tight from it's position. I had to lay it out, then lay on it to get it flat and ready to use. My dog was amused by this, but I'm not sure it counts as a position. It does dent. I've seen where others tear, but so far, mine hasn't yet. But dents? Yes. I can see this as more of a "when" rather than "if." The foam is soft-- it's bound to happen at some point. No noise noted. No squeaking or shifting, or "fart" noises. You can go about your routine in peace.I did notice a smell on my hands after. At first, I wasn't sure what it was, but it was latex-esque or plastic like. I didn't notice this during, but I did smell it after. To me, it's squishy and comfortable. Like I said , I briefly used it as a make-shift cot prior to it's official use, and I thought it was fine. Didn't move, and for what it is, I thought it was pretty thick.I Love the strap, I love the color, it'll do for now. Until it falls apart, I'm happy with it.

Squishiest impact absorbing mat I've seen
The size is smallish, and well advertized at 24" X 71", however the quality and padding is there, and at the price point I know it's a winner. It absorbs pressure and rebounds swiftly. It has a matt texture that is a bit grippy, which I prefer. I've paid a lot more for mats that didn't have this shock absorbing performance. I'm excited to own it.

Great Mat, Slight Grip Issue (lika all mats)
Comfortable and solid for workouts, but it can be a bit slippery on the floor during intense poses. Still a great overall yoga mat.

Love
This is a great quality, thick and pretty colored yoga mat! It's easy to roll up and put away and of course, just as easy to sanitize than the yoga mats with the little dips and crevices in their designs.

Not 100% sold, but willing to keep using it for the cushioning benefits on my knees and hands.
For full disclosure, I'm very out of shape, female, 210lbs, 5"5, 27 years old, and am starting yoga again after years of inactivity. I used to be VERY active in high school, so I have some of my old flexibility and strength, but not much else. I am clearly not a yoga expert and no mat will make exercise, on any level, easy for me. That being said, I think I need more time with this mat to really decide whether I like it or not. I'm not going to return it either way because my cats have already jumped on it to play with one another and made a few clear puncture marks (little jerks!), so I wouldn't feel right about returning something my animals damaged. But here's my review thus far after 3 days of use doing some light to moderate yoga and other stretching for thirty minutes an evening:PROS:- The thickness REALLY helps with my hands, knees and butt. I'm no spring chicken, so I need all the cushioning I can get! It's almost like memory foam, comfort-wise, and I remember severe wrist and knee pain on previous mats in years gone by. This reduces that pain considerably, so I can keep up the exercise longer than I might have otherwise.- It rolls up and unrolls nicely, and the carrying strap is a nice touch for portability and storage. It turns up a bit at the ends, but it doesn't interfere with my workouts.- It definitely seems durable; despite all the pressure and pulling from my yoga stances, which makes me feel like it WOULD start tearing, but it doesn't tear. Yes, there are some nice new tiny holes in it from kitty claws, but it isn't flaking off or anything and it isn't interfering with any activity on the mat. Another mat might flake down to nothing from one encounter with a cat.CONS:- Because it's so thick and pliable, I struggle with my balance more on it than I do on my wood-laminate floor. For one-legged standing moves, I get off my mat for fear of falling over and hurting myself. I also got off the mat for warrior 1 and 2. Devil's advocate: me and balance haven't known each other for a long time, so I can't wholly blame any balance issues on the mat. But it is telling that I can do it better on the floor than a mat I purchased specifically for yoga.- The mat seems to stay put relatively well for most moves, but I can feel the mat shift and stretch sometimes and it's a little disconcerting. As I said, I have a wood-laminate floor, so I was hoping this squishy, plastic-ish mat would naturally stick to a laminate floor. It seems to stay put if I have most of my weight on it in one spot during basic moves, but when I adjust my weight to two or more spots (e.g. vinyasas involving downward facing dog and planks, warrior poses), the mat stretches and shifts. I have to take a few extra moments to keep readjusting to compensate for the fact that the mat stretched or moved and steady myself. It might just be that the mat needs "breaking in", or perhaps this kind of mat that is good on the knees and hands came at the price of not being able to do some of the more complex moves fluidly.- Plastic-y mat on a wood laminate floor = squeaky fart noises. I do my yoga at home, alone, but I wouldn't bring this mat with me to practice in a group for this reason.I'll keep using the mat and update my review in a few weeks.

My GO-TO at Home Yoga Mat
When it comes to yoga mats for at-home use, I always favor this one! The colors are bright and vibrant (I’ve ordered the blue and purple options in the past). I say "at-home use" because the mat is somewhat larger, so I wouldn't recommend it for travel or taking to classes (I use a JADE yoga mat for in-person classes). When they say "extra thick high density," they aren’t joking. That extra padding makes it very comfortable regardless of the floor type! Soft and squishy, it offers less impact on your joints than thinner mats. The mat lasts a very long time and is easy to wipe clean. Its extra thickness has helped it withstand some dog-claw punctures when my dog gets the zoomies and zips right over it. Yes, this mat will sustain small punctures, but don’t worry, they don't go all the way through to the other side, making a hole. The strap it comes with is a big plus, helping keep it compact for storage. The elastic loops on the strap are extra wide, designed specifically for this thicker mat. The elastic is high quality and doesn’t wear out with use!
