Q: would this be good for feral cat bedding?

Absolutely! Wheat straw is THE thing to use for feral cats. Oat straw, hay, paper rabbit bedding material all get mildew and don't dry. Wheat straw is the only product that is safe for a feral colony. And since I just started using this brand, I can say it's very tightly packed and very clean. Competitors I've purchased it the past, not so much. Buy this, you'll be pleased.

Q: Can i pull the straw apart to place in a plastic bin to keep a feral cat warm?

It's a "lifetime" supply of straw and you'll need to snip the cords holding the bale together, but yes you can use it as bedding for a feral cat house. That's how I use it in addition to using it as a mulch in summers for my vegetable garden. All the loose straw I subsequently ended up with is stored in my garage in large black bags.

Q: Would these be good for decorations for a wedding?

They might present a fire hazard. Unless the wedding is outside like in a barnyard setting or something. These bales are good sized but quite dry

Q: How many pounds is the smaller bale?

I purchased one of each size and the large weighed about 32 lbs. I'm thinking the medium one weighed around 20 lbs. Its really good quality as well. I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

Fantastic!

Very nice, golden colored, long stalk straw. This straw is fantastic! The bale was tight, very well compressed and a nice golden color. Long straw is what we wanted and this is perfect.I use for outside feral/stray cat shelters to provide warmth, and to soak up wet from rain or snow. But cats are using now even though weather has been in 70's which surprised me.Pictures: 1. Fresh straw through door of shelter; 2. Fresh straw, roof off; 3. Straw from last year--shows color difference between old and fresh straw.Happy I took a chance on it.

Perfect for all your needs

We used the bale in tact to grow vegetables out of. They worked perfectly. Comes in a box so it’s not shredded or falling apart when it got here. I only wish I would’ve bought two or three more. Now they are unavailable. Will definitely be buying more.

Great Product, Great Price
