Timer Outlet, Nearpow Multifunctional Infinite Cycle Programmable Plug-in Digital Timer Switch with 3-Prong Outlet for Appliances, 15A/1800W

I have one of these timer outlets for 5 years, and it still works great. I recently bought a second one for my aeroponic garden, and the quality still remains the same. Check out the manual for the wide variety of ways you can program the settings.

I have used my Nearpow T-319 timer to cycle continuously a recirculating-hot-water pump. The timer is set for a ten-percent duty cycle: 20 seconds on, 180 seconds off. It has worked flawlessly for six years. It has retained its settings through power outages. It can be programmed in hand and then placed into service. I am happy with it. The unit's instructions can be a tad challenging at first, especially when setting infinite-repeat intervals in seconds/minutes rather than minutes/hours. For seconds/minutes intervals the user manual says Press and hold the Timing Circulate button for 3 seconds and the top set of numbers will flash. The three-second hold is the key; otherwise the timer defaults to minutes/hours intervals. The programming instructions can found online. Search for Nearpow T-319 timer manual.

This is easy to program. I had purtchased another brand and after 4 or 5 tries I could not get it programed. Returned it and got this. Very pleased

This is a remarkable timer and perfect for my hot water heating system's recirculation pump. The timer is unique in that it permits 3 levels of timing control. You can set a range-of-day (say, from 6:00AM to 9:00PM). Or, ON from 6AM, OFF at 9AM, then ON again at 5PM, OFF at 10PM... ect. The best feature is that you can control the duration of each "ON" or "OFF" interval. So, for my recirculation pump, which only needs to refresh the hot water line to keep it warm, I set the duration to: 1 minute ON, 8 minutes OFF. I had been using a mechanical timer, but those things only offer 15 minute intervals of either ON, or OFF. For my needs, that was a waste of electricity. There are other modes you can control, such as "Recycle", which is the number of times to run each 'interval' within each active hour, although they weren't useful to my needs. What really sets this timer apart from others is its ease of use. The buttons are logical and well named. So, setup is pretty straight forward. It also contains a battery so, were a power outage to occur you wouldn't lose the settings. I suppose the battery is good for several months without a charge because the timer arrived with the clock still running. In fact, I configured the timer right out of the box without ever plugging it in. I've used the mechanical timers for lamps and such, but, hands-down this timer is a better deal and just as easy to use (maybe even easier).

Once plugged into power, the timer does not change regardless of pressing buttons and the screen does not show any change. This is a broken device. 11/22/2025 Update: The device is bricked when the internal rechargeable battery dies (NiMH zm40h 1.2V). To get the device "working" again, just open the case and rip out the battery. Note for those that want to replace the battery, a rechargeable battery must be used since the device supplies ~1.6v to keep the battery charged. Do not use a single use, non-rechargable battery since it would be dangerous. I am keeping this as a single star since the device is built to fail when the battery dies.

Works great. We'll made, however if you plan to use the other spot on the outlet your going to hate this. The plug in is designed so that the bottom of the timer partially covers the other outlet.
