Yes but iMac comes with a wireless mouse. This mouse is good with right and left buttons.

Is this compatible with Mac book air ?

Yes, if the MacBook Air has a USB Type “A” port. Otherwise you you may need an adapter. My wife’s Mac has some kind of an adapter hub she uses to have USB type A, and or several other options.

Does this mouse work on glass? Like a darkfield mouse?

Since it is an optical mouse it will not work with glass. Only if the sensor is laser then it will work with glass.
