This is a fantastic hair dye! It is very dark with just a hint of blue in the sunlight, giving you that animated black hair effect. The treatment is also magic and sealed up my split ends easily leaving my hair soft AND colored! The only issue I have is that the dye is very strong, in fact it gets on everything and stains everything. Droplets where you rinse your hair will leave blue stains on the floor and on the sink- unless you have a porcelain or marble I truly believe you are cooked although I had some success with nail polish remover (it will come of skin this way). That being said, it also sticks in your hair for weeks. I am on 3 weeks post dye and it looks like day 1. I am still leaving a blue residue in my bathtub when I shower despite it diluting but if you can accept the permanence it is worth it. In fact, I re-ordered a second box and am giving five stars for it delivering quality but I would be cautious especially if you are renting or planing a trip where your hair might get wet.

I’ve used Schwarzkopf Color Ultime 1.4 Sapphire Black a few times now, and I’m really happy with how my hair turns out. This hair dye product worked wonderfully on my hair! I used this hair dye at home and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The color came out pretty close to what was shown in the photos. The instructions are easy to follow which made things less stressful. The smell was noticeable like most hair dyes but not overwhelming. Overall, beautiful color, last pretty long, and easy to use at home!

Great vibrant color however it does dye entire scalp black, at least that's my experience. It's beautiful but it doesn't seem natural or gentle, for that reason only 4 stars. But it's definitely something you won't regret. It's nice but I wish it wasn't as aggressive in dying. Skin isn't ever irritated though so it's not per say dangerous just inconvenient to have your skin dyed so strongly. Although it does cover all the greys!

(Spoiler alert: it absolutely delivered.) Not only did it cover my fantasy colors beautifully, but it left my hair feeling soft, not crunchy like other permanent dyes tend to do. That post-dye conditioner? Liquid velvet. It actually made my hair feel better than before I dyed it—which feels illegal, but I’m not questioning it. And let me tell you… it's now July 2025 as I write this review. That’s 7 months later, and the black? Still looking chef’s kiss. I was looking for a good black hair color and I bought this brand based off the good reviews I read about it. And honestly, I have to say, super duper pooper impressed with this dye! First 2 months the colour was so shiny and vibrant, and it's now been 3 months, almost 4, the colour has faded but it's such a pretty colour still, the fade is still nice and shiny and works for me. This brand is awesome for black, had to tell you :)

This hair dye has great coverage, and is one of my top fave box dye brands because of the quality and how long it lasts. I was looking for more of a true black colour and wasn't expecting this to have a blue tinge to it, lol. I had never tried this colour before and it's def growing on me but surprising all the same. I hope the Raven Black is back in stock soon :)

I only dyed it yesterday so I don't know how long it lasts but I love how shiny and soft this is! The scent was more pleasant than other boxed dyes I've tried. One box gave full coverage and turned out a beautiful shiny black that is slightly blue in natural light. I attached a picture of what my hair looked like before and after.

This brand is usually pretty good to use. I have used this before so, I knew what I was getting myself into. I already gotta do some touch ups but, yeah black hair is fire! Definitely a dye you gotta be careful with cause it will stain, transfer colour onto things like pillows, towels etc...
