Very lovely paints, comparable with other high-quality American brands
I would recommend these paints primarily for people who have experience with watercolors and water control; they tend to flow very quickly and fill up any stray drop of water. I've noticed the flow tends to be a little less eager in their more granulating and opaque pigments, like cobalt teal, raw sienna natural, or cerulean blue chromium - but for the most part these paints spring across the page very easily. If you're someone who likes tighter control in your washes I wouldn't necessarily recommend them. I would also not recommend them to beginners. The price point + unpredictable nature of the flow isn't worth it when you're just starting out, in my opinion. If you're not used to color mixing, the way some pigments easily overpower others can also be a bit off-putting. All that said, I really do love these paints. They're comparable to brands like Daniel Smith, Da Vinci, and M. Graham - all of which also have their own little quirks - and you honestly can't go wrong with these paints, or this set, as it's a pretty standard assortment of pigments. However, several pigments have been included that really show off QoR's strengths: you get the brilliant vibrancy of pigments like quinacridone magenta, cobalt teal, and cadmium yellow primrose; the surprising flow of granulating colors like cerulean blue chromium and cadmium red medium; and their knockout variant of transparent pyrrole orange. If you're an experienced painter looking for vibrant paints that are fun to use, I would highly recommend them. They rewet easily and are just as vibrant as if you'd poured them straight from the tube. I'd ditch the titanium white and replace it with their stunning viridian (which has been the easiest viridian pigment to rewet out of those I've tried) or quinacridone gold deep (which, unfortunately, is a pigment that has been discontinued - but is still available as I'm writing this review). Their flow makes them perfect for wet into wet techniques, though of course you'll want to use a light hand if you don't want anything too dramatic. Overall a great bang for your buck and just as nice as any other top-notch American brand.

Amazing Beautiful Lovely!
I am SO in love with these watercolors, no joke. They are just seriously amazing, and I can't believe there aren't more reviews for them. The paints themselves are vibrant and transparent. They layer really well on top of each other, and I think they mix beautifully. I know with some watercolors you have to spray the palette with water before you use them to get the paints to start flowing, but with the QoR, if you just use a wet brush, they rewet in a snap and you only need a little to go a long way. They dry well, non of the colors cracked as they dried for me. I did notice that most of the colors never "harden." They are dry, and they don't move, but I can go back and press my fingernail and leave a mark in them. I'm guessing it's the binder, and probably the reason that you can rewet them so easily! I love how well they flow in a wet on wet test. Seriously, they spread out and granulate and it's magic to watch, especially when you do a few colors and watch them blend and move. My only little complaint is that on some of the tube wrappers, they are starting to peel up. But that doesn't hurt the paint so it really doesn't matter. I want ALL of the colors that Golden offers of these amazing paints. I wish there was a bigger set than the 24 because I would buy it in a nanosecond.

Normally, bright and bold is not a common way to describe watercolors, but here we are...
I don't want anyone to think that QoR watercolors are not capable of providing a traditional, soft wash, they absolutely are. But these paints also bring a unique party trick. They are able to look brighter and more saturated than any other watercolor paints that I have come across. They take a little bit of adjustment in technique when one requires a soft, light appearance. I love the way that these perform. The pigment is so much more concentrated than one expects. I only wish that Golden offered sets with larger tubes. These are wonderful professional quality watercolor paints. I know of none better.

Iโve tried most of the best watercolor paints and these have become a favorite!
Wonderful watercolors! Iโve painted with many professional brands of watercolor paints, and these are just lovely, vibrant and best of all, colorfast. My favorite brand is actually Daniel Smith, as I love their granulation and range of natural earth colors. I hesitated in purchasing this set as Iโm generally very happy with my Daniel Smith paints, but bought them anyway because I canโt resist trying and comparing watercolor paints out of curiosity. Iโm so glad I did! I havenโt stopped using them since they arrived, and although I still love my D.S. paints, I have so enjoyed this set. They are smooth, rich, and blend wonderfully. They have just the right amount of granulation and the colors stay truer than many other brands when dry. Iโd say thatโs what stands out the most, and probably why Iโve been enjoying using them so much!

Like beautiful wild horses galloping on paper!
These watercolors are hard to control but I say that as a compliment. The colors are free moving, spontaneous, and blooms and (some) granulates beautifully. Theyโre so transparent and vibrant. Theyโre like the most astonishing amazing wild horses that you cannot tame but just have to appreciate. If youโre into very realistic painting or like medical illustration or something like that, these are not for you. But if you do any kind of abstract art or whimsical stuff I think these are top notch. I love painting my cats with these colors. The cats always turn out with unexpected shades and textures. I will cherish mine until the last drop. For more of my art checkout at watercolor_and_coffee

Qor Watercolor Review
Qor watercolors, now that's something to talk about. Now these are some pretty great watercolors, compared to all the other watercolor products Iโve tried. Trust me Iโve tried a lot ranging from, every watercolor pencil ever, to watercolor pens, to even watercolor Pastels. Iโm pretty educated for whats its worth, not to gloat or anything. For the review though I am going to be dividing it up into sections, because I found watercolor reviews always are better that way. Quality- I was disappointed in the quality of the tin that the watercolors came in. The tin itself was nice. The con to it though was the ting holding the water colors in place. I wasnโt happy to find my watercolors being held in by a very thin piece of cardboard. The Winsor and Newton ones had a durable hard plastic holding them in which wasnโt so bad. Well moving on to a better note here, the tin was good it wasnโt too bulky or flimsy. With the Winsor and Newton they were nice but I was on the fence about them not being secure. Now getting onto the paints themselfs, they were fantastic although the consistency did differ between some. I felt some of the paints were more liquified while some were stiff. The more liquified ones did tend to get a bit messy though. On the bright side though all the watercolors did seem to be very pigmented, even though they were hues. Price- The prices for the Qor was more expensive than all of the water color sets, but it was well worth it. Like I said before they were highly pigmented and gorgeous. Prices: Qor- $71.97 (for 24) Price per tube- $3 Winsor and Newton- $34 ( For 12) Price per tube- $2.80 Koi- $26 (for 18) Per tube- $1.50 Opacity- The opacity was really surprising compared to Winsor and Newton, I donโt know if this is just because of the pigmentation. Like I said again the pigmentation is amazing. Wet on wet- Ok, can I just say how amazing the watercolors wet on wet. They blossom amazingly. Compared to the Winsor and Newton, they blow them away. Winsor and Newton spread like you expect them to very small range and very veiny. While these ones just go every which way, in every direction. Blending- So first I laid down the cadmium yellow color first( Just a little tip I learned it's better to lay down the lighter color first) then once I did that I placed down the Cadmium red colors they instantly met. When the way they bled together was gorgeous. This was the first time I tried to blend the colors and they werenโt even that muddy which really made me happy. Colors- The colors were great they seemed to all blend together nicely and not be too muddy. I have seen a few other artist out their lay them out the primaries on paper and mix them together to get the secondary colors. So I decided to do that and it really opened my eyes to the abilities of these colors. They blended amazingly, and like I said before not even that muddy. Conclusion- In conclusion I would give these a 4/5 star rating with some minor flaws, other than that their pretty much perfect. The flaws I found was the tin, pickup, I donโt know if this was me but I found that the way the watercolors reacted to salt (The salt wouldnโt come off it required me to like pry it off), and lastly I put the watercolors in the pans a week ago they still aren't hard or firm. Other than those complaints the watercolors are amazing. The Pros definitely out weight the cons.

Fabulous Colors
I usually stick with Daniel Smith brand watercolors but branched out for a set of 36 tubes after watching many utube videos. I love this brand. Rich and creamy. Re wets fast. Really moves fast on wet paper. Just different from Daniel Smith. I love them both. Very worth the price to me, I'm getting alot of pleasure using these. Nothing negative to report.

Such chicanery is unacceptable.
I bought QoR 24 Color Set by GOLDEN, 24 x 5 ml tubes, Professional Watercolor Paint Set becuase CoR is about the most saturatedhighly pigmented watercolor paint available. Pros: โข Highly pigmented - very saturating paint โข New synthetic binder holds more pigment creating those wonderfully saturated paintings โข Easier and quicker to rewet for use than other professional paints Cons โข Only one: I did not receive every color listed in the listing or the package wrapper. Viridian Green was replaced by Pthalo Green (Blue Shade). A cool green was replaced by a warm one either in the manufacturer's facility or by the retailer - no way of knowing since the container was not sealed. Yes, one missing important color replaced a five star review with a one star review - such chicanery is unacceptable.
