Can this withstand salt water? I need a lock for my boat moored on the sea.

Yes it is salt water resistant. It will last much longer than other padlocks but will still need to be replaced eventually due to the harsh conditions.

are the dimpled key locks any more secure than the saw tooth kind? Any Facts?

As someone who engages in locksport, dimple locks have some advantages over the pin tumbler or "saw tooth" design. Biggest is ease of picking. Almost all locks can be picked with the right skills and tools. Pin tumbler locks can be picked with a lot of tools, wereas dimole locks need a more specialized tool set that can't be easily improvised.
