Will this large coupler fit the Wilton 1M decorating tip. I'm new at this and don't want to use the bag alone.

Yes! That is the coupler you HAVE TO USE with 1M. It's okay to be "new", so am I, relatively speaking. Couplers are the only way to go, even if all your decorating is going to be with just one tip. But, it also allows you to change tips. This can be handy, if you have several colors in different bags. You can take just one tip over. There aren't very many tips that use the large coupler: 1A, 2A, 2D, and 1M. Most of the tips go with the small coupler and there are just a few tips that don't fit either coupler. The cake Icer tip doesn't go with a coupler; it goes straight into a featherweight bag. That's the only tip I know you can't use a disposable bag with. It can be a fun hobby when you learn a little more. The nice thing about the 1M tip is you can decorate a cupcake in less than a minute. A friend and I decorated 111 cupcakes a few months ago in just a trio of hours and most were with the 1M tip. It makes a really pretty "rosette".
