Do you need the Hub for the valve to work ?

You need the hub to set up the valve. Once it is set up, it will be controlled directly by the leak sensors, but if the hub is offline, you will not receive email or text notifications of valve operation, and you will not be able to operate the valve remotely.

Can you sync (link) more than one sensor to each valve so long as you have a hub for everything?

Yes. The application has simple logic so that you can program step functions. For example, If Sensor 1 detects water, shut off the valve AND sound an alarm. If sensor 2 detects water, shut of the valve AND sound the alarm AND send an email AND send a text. You only need one hub for everything.

how can it turn off a gas stove?

You will need either one of our motorized valve products, installed in the gas line, or one of our valve operators, if it is a ball valve.

With smart valve controller & motorized ball valve, how can they automatically shut off the valve if there is water leak? what else i need to buy?

You need to buy "Yolink Water Leak Sensors" and pair them to the water valve controller. Place the Water Leak Sensors throughout the house where a water leak is possible and when a sensor detects a water leak it sends a signal to the controller to shut off the water.
