Laura Mercier Eye Basics Primer, Linen

Love this primer. I especially love you can use it as a primer or alone to brighten you eyes up. It doesn't crease like many primers (think urban decay). It goes on smooth, lasts for full 24 hours but easy. To remove, never sweats off, it's my go to makeup product. So glad Amazon carries it now. No other eye primer comes close! The new blue turned out not to be flattering for me but I still love all the other shades

Sadly, this product was either old/expired or used (or maybe both). There was very little actual product in the tube and it was all dried out. Tried to use it once and had to scrub it off because it looked like rhino skin. Will probably look for it elsewhere because I think the color would have been perfect, but can’t say for sure due to the state of the product.

When first applied to eye area, it has a spreadable consistency, when then sets as a foundation makeup does for the face. Eye shadow then applies evenly, with better color. When I don't wear shadow, I still wear this. Choosing a color that is slightly lighter than your skin tone allows it to look natural. I previously used a product like this that came in a tube. This applicator has a foam tipped wand. Three small dots and then I spread / blend with my finger. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that this packaging allows it to dry out faster. The last 1/3 of the tube has a different consistency and I typically toss it at 25% left in tube. A bit wasteful.

I have used this product for 10+ years. It's excellent!
