So this is saying, once 1 square inch of this stuff bonds, it can withstand over 2 tons (4400 psi) of force without being broken? Hard to believe...

Why is that hard to believe? That's not much stronger than most concrete in compression, and it's an order of magnitude weaker than steel. Keep in mind that "psi" is a measure of stress, not force. This is still a lot weaker than lots of epoxies being used in construction, not to mention FRP materials being used.

Would this work to repair cracks in a ceramin liner on a Kamado type smoker?

I used this epoxy to glue a metal mesh to the sides of a ceramic container so I can hold in soil and succulent plants. After letting it cure dry as recommended, the mesh is holding up well and I have the ceramic planter hanging vertically outside in the yard. Very strong glue; not sure how it would react to heat over time though.
