Is there any benefit to getting the 1000 amp model over the 600 amp model if my welder is a 250 amp machine?

There is not 600 is plenty for your 250 machine the 1000 handles more amps power and heat as well as bigger rods which your 250 won’t run anyway

What size air compressor do you need?

Two stage 60 gal will probably work just run constant with heavy use of air arc
