I won't bother getting into any kind of discussion on the benefits or purpose of using "fat grips", I suspect if you are looking at any considering the product here then you have already done the research and want to try doing some lifts with over sized bar grips. So the real question would then be, are these just as good as the "name brand" yet selling for less? the short answer in my experience is an easy yes. Sure they don't have the name itself but functionally these are identical to the leading brand, cost less, and they even toss in a nice carrying bag which can be useful! I keep mine in the bag and if I plan to do any lifting at the gym I can bring these along if I want and the bag works perfectly for that. Again not he biggest deal but you get to spend a little less, the quality and performance are the same, and they toss in a freebie, nothing to really complain about there. So unless you are hung up on having that particular brand, I would say these ones are just as good and will let you keep your grips and your wallet fat!Product was purchased with my own funds but the seller did provide a promotional discount in exchange for agreeing to review the product. These really work your grip great, particulary with curling, back exercises, and anything that requires pulling. I've always read about fat-grip bars and other ways to try to increase grip and forearm strength, but a lot of those options can be expensive. That's why I like these so much. They are an easy, inexpensive way to switch things up and increase grip strength. They fit over all the dumbbells and bars that I've tried so far and are easy to use. They slide on without problem, then stay in place as you grip them with no sliding or instability. They are discrete and fit in the provided pouch, so are easy to bring to the gym in a typical gym bag or by themselves. After using them for the past week, I can feel a huge difference in how sore my forearms are. I assume it is a bit early to be seeing any differences in strength yet, and I did have to temporarily decrease some of my lifts due to greater forearm activation and strength required.
