Hornady Canister Dehumidifier (X-Large) 95906

Great value. Did some searching and it’s cheaper to buy this than making your own (although price has probably shifted since my purchase). I could not find a suitable container and beads for as cheap as this. Works like a charm. Container is great. Don’t mess with the viewing window in the top, it’s meant to stay there, although it doesn’t do that much. Recharge on a schedule or gauge depending a RH meter. The outside turns pink pretty quick despite it having some room to absorb more. Overall Would recommend.

Really nice looking product. Feels solid and doesn't have a cheap feel or look. I'm not sure how effective it will be at removing humidity/moisture from within my gun safe but it is pretty idiot proof in terms of use and effectiveness ... the beads change color when they have absorbed too much moisture, and they need to be dried out. And that is just a matter of putting the entire cannister in the oven and then good as new and back in the safe. I anticipate this working as advertised and lasting for years and years.

It came dented in one side, but that does not affect how it works. Unfortunately it also opened up the packaging and I had to bake it to use it. It was already pinking up when I received it, it is to remove moisture not to look pretty, but after dropping $40 seemed kinda’ ridiculous getting one that was dented and damp from the getgo!

The canister works as advertised to control humidity in a gun safe. Delivery was on time as well.

I have the smaller one and it works well so I decided to get the larger one. When it arrived it was banged up pretty well. The package looked fine, but the product itself is all dented up. It’ll still work so I’m going to keep it, but for the price and it being hornady you’d expect it to be in better condition.

The only way to remove water from the air (humidity) is to transfer it to something/somewhere else. This Canister Dehumidifier will entrap it. You might need several of them, depending on how well sealed your safe is, how large it is and how much humidity you have in the air. Pros: * It will remove the humidity from the air by entrapping it. * It becomes pink when it is saturated. * The container is well built/designed. Cons: * You might need several of those, which will take a good chunk of space from your safe. * You will need to dry it pretty often. I am in California, which is pretty dry and I still need to put it in the stove after a few weeks.

As usual Hornady produces are top quality. Very impressive. As usual hassle free great service from Amazon!

Used this in a very small gun safe . Dropped 20% humidity in 12 hours down to 31%. Very happy with this product
