Confirming this does not work on induction cooktop

Only magnetic cookware work with an induction cooktop; this is ceramic, ergo it will not work with one.

Can anyone speak to how this compares to coffee roasted in a Whirley Pop?

I've tried them both, and it's hard to say which I prefer more. They are both pretty equal; however, here are the pros/cons: Cons: 1. You'll need a heating source 2. You have to shake/swirl throughout the roasting process 3. Handle is short, and that handle opening gets hot, so you'll need a bit 4. Small yield/small container 5. Pretty messy (chaff everywhere) Pros: 1. You have complete control throughout the process 2. Uniform roast throughout the batch 3. Small easy to clean design 4. It doesn't overheat, so you can continue roasting over and over

How much can you roast at one time?

I roast 1/3 cup at a time. I set the timer for 10 minutes. On a gas stove the coffee will be through the first crack and starting the second crack in that amount of time. For me this makes 2 pour over servings.

New to roasting and just got this...can an expert user post a more detailed written instruction on the tips and tricks of using this? Thanks!!

Far from am expert, but my best roasting experience was as follows: 1. Used outside single burner on my grill and I recommend oven an mitt so that you don't burn yourself 2. Let it heat up some on the burner before adding beans 3. Pour in about 2/3 of a cup of beans once surface and tool are fairly hot 4. Shake and swirl them around enough to knock off chaff, but not lose beans everywhere. Do this until your desired time/crack. 5. Pour them out of the handle to cool
