I bought this kit to remake the brake lines in my classic car. I had never done any line making before, but after watching a few videos on YouTube, I felt confident. I had no trouble using this kit to bend and flare new brake lines. I was concerned about the quality due to the price, but every piece performed just fine. Case is good quality, too.

The quality of this kit is not perfect. There is a bit of "leaning" on the flare, but it has everything you need and the flares don't leak!

I purchased this kit for an all in one kit for replacing 1/4 in NiCop break lines on my truck. I've used tubing double flare kits many times and at a glance this kits appears to be functional. However, after actually trying to use the double flare I found that it actually would not make a usable double flare. The kit itself is extremely cheap, the tubing cutter handle pulled apart while using it to cut 1/4 in copper tubing! Can't imagine if you tried to use it to cut common steal break lines! Secondly double flare insert came factory deformed, and after comparing to a kit I borrowed from Napa, found the dimension where WAY off, well in the visual range, I'd guess 20% smaller diameter center pin, and the shoulder was at least 20% taller, so your flare ended up having an inside diameter way smaller than the inside of the tubing. A restriction in the line is not what you want for break lines! The wing nut jaws used to hold the tubing in place while forming it are severely undersized, causing not only ovaling of the tubing but also leaving behind jagged edges. All of which makes it almost impossible to get the fitting to slide up to meet the flare. In general this tool is DANGEROUS to use and should be removed from service. I provided images comparing double flares I made with this Alltrade kit against double flares I made with a kit I rented from an auto parts store. Beware, DO NOT USE!

I use the extras in this kit more than I do the actual flare tool. I just couldn’t get it to work for anything but a single flare. The line holder is really secure on there, which is great, but it really tears up Ni-Cop brake line at the part where it was clamped on. The bender isn’t the tightest radius I’ve seen, but it’s good at what it does. The tubing cutter is by far my most used tool in the set. Its pretty good at what it does, really no complaints.

Probably not a pro-tool, but works fine. No defects, or malfunctions. I'm happy and i have new brake lines.

This is an inexpensive solution when you have a small project and don't to spend lots of money on the tooling. I found the tube cutter doesn't work that great, hence the 4 stars, but the flaring tool works great and the bender is a helpful tool to have as well. Make sure to do practice bends first!

First time repairing brake line. Honestly took few times to make perfect flair. Fixed rear brake problem !!! Good product and fast shipping 😃
