Best sport sunblock, excellent value!
This is the second time I've purchased Waxhead Tinted Sport Sunscreen and I absolutely LOVE it! It stays on my skin in the ocean, even for longer surf sessions (through sweat, salty water, and sand), is reef safe, and has skin healthy ingredients. I love that it's slightly tinted with a matte finish (versus some zinc oxide sunblocks that make your skin white/bluish and so shiny), and has a nice, subtle cocoa scent (from the cocoa powder). This sunscreen lasts a long time and is a great value for the price.I've also purchased their untinted sport stick and it's great too, but I prefer this one.I reached out to their customer service when I had a question about expiration dates, and the reply was very quick!

Does not come off while surfing, does not sting your eyes
Regarding function, this is a high-quality sunscreen that does not sting your eyes or come off while surfing. However, the tint is gray rather than any skin tone I have ever seen on a living human being. I did not remove any stars for that because the quality is superior to many other brands on the market.

Best Surfing Sunblock
Fantastic, natural, love the peace of mind knowing that I could accidentally ingest some of this product without harm.I’ve used this surfing multiple 3 hour sessions in the most extreme summer SoCal UV with perfect protection, without reapplication. And yes, it will make your face a bit white but it can be easily removed after. Just wish this product was available back in the day. The only sunblock I trust for kids, and the stick lasts forever. Can get a bit gooey in a hot car, just keep it in a plastic bag. Money well spent.

Simple, Safe Sunscreen
This sunscreen is effective and smells like cocoa! Not a bad thing at all. The tinting helps hide the zinc caste and also serves as good indicator of coverage. The only negative is that it is thick and can be hard to spread if it's cold. Warming it in the sun before use helps. The ingredients are simple and my skin tolerates it much better than chemical sunscreens. Washing off takes a bit of scrubbing, but that's expected for any water-resistant sunscreen.

It works
Did a good job of protecting my arms from the sun on a 4 hours bike ride. My only issue is that it gets on your clothes and anything you touch. Like the product and will keep using.

Great product, but weird color
I live and surf in Hawaii so I use a lot of zinc and was looking for a cheaper option. I love the big stick and the price. It works just as well as more expensive zinc sticks, but the one thing I couldn't get past is that color is odd. I bought the tan and it looks more grey/green than brown. My girlfriend didn't like it at all, and I have to agree. The white might be fine, but I prefer the tan and so I've gone back to my old stuff.

Incredible product from an intelligent, quality-obsessed company
Where to start… I came across this product a few years ago to use on my two boys who are competitive swimmers and they’re scanned. The product is amazing as it stays put and last through several hours of swimming even in chlorinated water. This summer I had a question about the product and was looking here to see if someone had answered it before. The owner, Shannon Kenner, had actually put his name and phone number in an answer to another persons review so I decided to call him. I expected to get someone in customer service or a recording that Shannon actually answered the phone. The man is brilliant and so well spoken about the fairly technical topic of sunscreens both natural like his and the chemical based options, I was blown away. I’m an attorney and can tell pretty quick if someone is spinning information and unable to answer questions an informed consumer would ask. Not only could he answer questions but he provided information I’d never knew about despite being fairly well- informed about natural products and the dangers of chemicals used in the “safe” sunscreens. He also explained that “nano” zinc oxide is a different species from the non-nano ingredients warhead uses and doesn’t provide the same level of coverage. Who knew. I use their tinted skin nourishing sunscreen as foundation everyday as does my ninth grader. He has some trouble with acne and the tretinoin (retain-a) makes his skin extremely sun sensitve and a tad pink. The tinted product counteracts that and doesn’t irritate his skin or exacerbate breakouts. He wears it to school and switches to the stick formula before his two hour swim practice. His skin looks great and the pinkness has lessened likely because some of it was due to sun exposure during practice. It’s rare to find a product that goes beyond what it promises and even rarer to find one with a founder so passionate and brilliant on the science underlying their product. The stick lasts forever and if it melts you can refrigerate it to restore its form. We had one of our sticks melt in the car in 102 degree heat wave and I decided to put some in a metal tin and refrigerate the stick and the product I took from the stick. Both came back to prior texture and I love the small size to carry around. Anyway, definitely give this product a try. I’m sue if you have any issues or questions, Shannon himself will help you. :)

with four ingredients I wasn't nervous whatsoever when applying it on my skin the first time.
I'm someone who has been allergic to every chemical sunscreen I've ever tried.I'm fine with scented lotions and perfumes, but sunscreen makes me swell up. Some mineral sunscreens that have a ridiculous amount of unnecessary ingredients have also made me react. so honestly I was afraid to go outside for a long time without covering myself up completely. And I was extremely nervous every time I would try a new sunscreen. I know for sure octocrylene and oxybenzone and a few other ingredients make me react, but I've reacted to sunscreens without those ingredients and so I I haven't been able to figure out everything that I'm allergic to and it scares me when it's my skin and my face at risk of swelling flaking cracking and peeling. This year I found this waxhead sunscreen. It's literally got four ingredients in itI'll dab it on as a base before makeup and you can't even see itEven if I don't wear makeup it spreads really easily my skin and it doesn't leave white streaksI'm an avid hiker and I've been able to hike in the sun all day without having allergic reaction, having to cover up, and without getting any sunburn. It's a reef safe which I love as I'm also a scuba diverIt's moisturizing because of its coconut oilAnd it advertises that it is very water-resistant up to 80 minutesSeriously four ingredientsMineral sunscreenSPF 30 broad spectrumMoisturizingReef safePerfect for sensitive skin or skin that mysteriously reacts to God knows what
