Hesitant at First. Pleasantly Surprised!
Originally bought this due to lack of HP branded options for auto and travel. I was hesitant to try this cable, due to the obvious naming scheme that sellers use on this platform, which tends to be synonymous with poor quality, and the mixed reviews. I took the risk, and thoroughly tested the cable for my needs, and was very surprised and pleased with the results! 1) Using a 100W PD Anker usb-c power supply, it immediately output 19.5vdc without connecting to the PC. After connecting to PC it had a temporary voltage drop to 19.4vdc. 2) Due to PD standard using resistor pulldown to indicate what voltage to output, without a load, it consumed a constant 0.01W 3) My PC is a 45W HP laptop, NOT A GAMING LAPTOP! (Though the kids and I do game on it.) So I had no issues with using the PC under full loads, and charging from 12% while also charging my cell. If your device requires a 100W supply or greater, charging and using the PC simultaneously may be too great a load for this cable and your supply, so keep that in mind. My experience with this cable was so good, that I purchased an additional 3 after the first. (I tested all 4, and they all work perfectly!) I now use this cable instead of the OEM supply that the PC came with, due to high quality, portability, aesthetics, compatability with all my other PD supplies: power banks, automotive DC/DC, and AC phone adapters (all 65W+) TL;DR: Surprisingly Great Cable! Make sure you have a sufficient PD supply, and your PC doesn't require more than 100W

Does not work with HP Omen
I'm giving it 5 stars because quality of materials seems good and it does deliver 20V in the correct connector for HP. It even seems to have the correct voltage on the sense pin to trigger charging on some models (presumably the ones listed). So stick with those. I ordered it to try on a modern HP gaming laptop (Omen series) that comes with a 200W power supply. Obviously this was not intended to be compatible, and, it's not. Even with a 100W USB-C power supply the laptop does not charge at all. It momentarily detects it, then goes back to battery. Unfortunately many modern HP laptops have a very aggressive bios that communicates with their own chargers, and rejects 3rd party chargers or chargers below the specified wattage. I took a gamble and it didn't pay off, I'm writing this review so others don't follow in my footsteps.

Not a solution for HP laptops bundled with power adapters above 100W
As even gaming laptops do not use more than 100W under non-intensive workloads, preliminary research suggested that given its PD capabilities, it might have at least charged my 150W-adapter laptop at an 100W speed. As the laptop's BIOS rejects it as a power source, and another reviewer's similar experience with their 200W-adapter OMEN laptop, this adapter likely will not work if your HP laptop's original power adapter has a maximum output greater than 100W. Otherwise, I'm leaving four stars as the cord seems to be otherwise durable, just that the communication of compatibility on the product listing could perhaps be somewhat clearer and more organized.

This cable didn't even last a month
This cable worked for about 3 weeks, then stopped all together. I tried a different brand USB-C(PD) to 4.5x3 adapter, and that works fine. The PD charger is confirmed working, as is the laptop, so the cable is bad. I hope the seller will read this and send a replacement or a refund.

Works
Nice quality cable. Plugs into my HP laptop and charges fine. Just remember to use a dockwTts that says USB c pd rated for 45watts or more if your old chargers states 45watts. I would recommend going more like 65watts. It will not hurt anything. The computer will still charger at the same 45watts. It's just so the power supply isn't over worked and doesn't get as hot

Powers HP 15 laptop without issue.
Effectively connects 100-watt PD source to laptop. Delivers 19.9 volts instead of the 19.5 volts delivered by the original power brick. Charges battery while the laptop and a second monitor are in active use. USB-C connector is very slightly warmer than skin temperature while in use.

Worked with instore laptop but not home (previously replaced battery)
Was not able to charge home laptop due to battery previously replaced (not original OEM). Brought battery pack and this cord in-store and tested out on HP laptop and was able to charge fine. Fits perfectly fine to HP Spectre x360 15T-DF000 laptop.

What was I really expecting.
This could be from continuous use. I bought this 5 months ago and as soon as it came I plugged it in to my power dock and it kept my continuously running laptop till it stopped. It transfer power anymore, but it was cheap and i wasnt expecting much so no big loss. This is just another piece of crap that is circulated daily though this website. Honestly more on me to expect something to just work! Sorry the divorce is on my mind.

Pros: - Tested this on my HP Elitebook 840 G3 and works. - Works on a 65w wall charger and on battery back with same wattage. Cons: - Price - $35+ for a cable? it's not a long one either

UPDATE AFTER 1 YEAR: Suddenly stopped working but shows 0 signs out external damage or play at either ends. So maybe something inside the type c housing broke? ----------------- Original review: Works well with an Anker 737 Powercore 26k 65W powerbank and the included 65w type c wall charger. Charges my hp spectre at the same speed as the standard stock AC/DC wall adapter. Cable feels high quality however the insulation around the type c plug is quite stiff. I can foresee this developing a crack in the cable as a result, but only time will tell. Overall very pleased.
