Have hens laying now?

I bought eggs off amazon and they didn’t hatch so I bought them at my local feed store for $2.00 a dozen we hachted 9 and gave 3 to our hen and they hatch them I thought it was a great experience for my grandchildren they inprinted with the chick the chick are now 9 mos,old and still follow the kids around the yard and allow them to carry them they even swing with them

how long do they take to hatch?

Hi! Thanks for your question. Chicken eggs take 21 days from the time incubation begins. If the temperature is a degree off from the required 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit they will hatch a day earlier or later. We always leave them 23 days as there are known to be late hatchets sometimes. How do i hatch without an incubator?

You'll need something that provides optimum heat and humidity sources. A lot of our customers have broody hens, others have incubators. That's basically your only choices. There are YouTube instructions on how to make your own incubator but you must have a thermometer and a hygrometer to keep the temperature at 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
