I may have been a little too optimistic thinking I could load this up with a whole tray of Bing cherries and pop out every pit in one push. In reality, it works best with just a couple at a time. That said, it handled two bags of late-season fruit quickly, letting me vacuum-seal and freeze them for a winter yogurt-blend treat. The build quality feels solid, but there’s one trick to getting the best results: press only the center plunger, not the outer ring. If you don’t grip too tightly, the tool aligns itself neatly against the fruit. Give it a small shake as you go, and the pit tray underneath has plenty of capacity to keep you moving without interruption. For a $10 tool, it’s efficient, sturdy, and saves a ton of time compared to hand-pitting. I only wish I'd known about it and grabbed one sooner!

The cherry pitter works great and does the job as expected, even the toddlers in my home used it easily! While it’s made of plastic and feels somewhat cheap, it’s still effective. Four stars because it does feel cheaply made which I’m sure it is . I would definitely buy it again if needed. Great tool for the price!

My kids are absolutely obsessed with cherries and this has been great for helping remove the seeds. Within a minute you can have multiple cherries pitted with little to no effort. We have had this device for months now and it seems pretty durable for often use. My only issue is it can be slightly messy when the seed pops out but I just do them over the sink and just rinse the mess down which seems to work fine.

This works beautifully and is so easy to use! I only wish I had bought this long ago. We love fresh cherries, but I always avoided baking with them since it was such a time consuming process to pit them by hand. This tool makes that so quick and simple! I have been making delicious Cherry Clafoutis ever since I got this awesome tool! It has a good grip and appears to be good quality. Easy to clean. Goes right in dishwasher.

Cherry season! I had made a cherry compote to serve with angel food cake, and it was a pain to pit those cherries by hand. Amazon to the rescue the next go 'round! This little pitter worked like a charm and saved me time and aggravation. It removed those pits super-easy. Great design. It's the perfect size. Made the job easy peasy. Store-bought angel food cake, with the cherry compote (a little sugar, a splash of amaretto, a little almond flavoring, and a tsp of cornstarch = perfect), also did a meringue to "frost" it. Perfect summer dessert. very happy

This is a good cherry pitter, you can work your way through a bag of cherries surprisingly fast, given that you can only do one at a time. Much easier, and neater, than pitting cherries by hand, splitting with a paring knife and pulling the pit out by hand. You do loose a bit of the cherry flesh that is at the base of the cherry where the post goes through the cherry to remove the pit. If you wanted, I suppose one could follow up with a knife to remove that bit, especially if you were going to be doing something that would break the cherries apart, such as making jam or preserves in rum. (Fill quart jar with pitted cherries or other soft summer fruit like peaches, appropriately washed, pitted and skinned if needed, add 1/2 cup sugar, cover with rum, set aside until winter, serve over cake or ice cream, and use the syrup in something like sprite or sparkling water for a drink.)

This easy And unique tool is the perfect tool for pitting cherries. It made an easy task of pitting cherries for preserves. I was able to pit 5 lbs in little time and the cherries come out looking good not mashed. I think this would also work for pitting olives.

Our first and only cherry pitter so we don’t have anything to compare to. Worked well and quickly, glad we saved some $$ on this option.

This does its job well and is easy to use. It spits red cherry juice everywhere, so I recommend using it outside while wearing old clothes, but that’s not any sort of product flaw, just a feature of juicy cherries. Plus, it makes for an amusing time when a political candidate you don’t care for comes to the door after you’ve been pitting cherries all afternoon and your kid comes to get you from the yard, and they look at you horrified as you come around the corner with red liquid liquid spattered all over your face, arms and chest, and dripping from your hands as you explain “Don’t worry!! It’s just cherry juice! I’m pitting cherries in the yard.”
