12-track pressing. 2016 French album from Céline Dion. The title track and lead single, was composed by Jean-Jacques Goldman, marking a long-awaited reunion, 12 years in the making! Céline and René's vision of a new collaboration with this legendary artist came to fruition with Encore un soir. For the first time, the legendary Francis Cabrel and Serge Lama co-wrote a song for Céline. Jacques Veneruso, her most trusted ally in recent years has written and composed a new song as well. Grand Corps Malade, who had collaborated on Céline's Sans attendre album has once again offered his poetry to this new album. New partners have also been added to the family. Zaho who has proven that she knows how to write crossover hits, contributes to the album. Florent Mothe et Mutine add their names with four pop-flavored songs. As Quebec is always close to Céline's heart, she wanted to pay tribute to it's rich musical repertoire by reinterpreting the classic Robert Charlebois song "Ordinaire". Marc Dupré, a multi-platinum artist in Québec and author of many chart topping radio hits, also collaborates with Céline on this album. Let's not forget Daniel Picard, who saw his song "À la plus haute branche" chosen from over 4,000 submissions following a contest launched on Céline's website. Great work
Great work Celine! In my opinion better than "Sans Attendre", though I like both a lot! The album has a positive perspective of life and love to enjoy all the moments (L'etoile, Encore un soir, Je nous veux, Toutes ces choses, Le bonheur en face) and Plus qu'aillers is such an empowering love song with a lovely melody when love will always get and be better. "Les yeux au ciel" is another great song, and without a doubt the most beautiful one: "Encore un soir" it's just so good! The only think I expect in every album is a song from hers! I think it would make a more personal album, maybe a song from her for Rene, her family, her own feelings...maybe for the next one. Overall a beautiful and enjoyable album!

This CD is a beautiful tribute to the loss of her husband and her brother (back to back in such a short period of time). It's not a melancholy CD whatsoever. It's all about loving and cherishing life. It's all in French, her first language. The song "Toutes Ces Choses" is my favorite...a wonderful reminder of how all the little events in life are what matter in the end.

Much to like here
Celine Dion's French-language albums have always been my favorites, primarily because she sounds more authentic in her first language and the arrangements and production are more sophisticated. This one is an anomaly on that front, with the production sounding more like her early English-language releases. Nonetheless, her voice remains one of the most remarkable of any contemporary female singer. For those who would like to hear some of her best music in French, get her live CD/DVD release, " Une Seule Fois ," performed in Quebec City after years of living mostly in Los Vegas and Florida. Or even better, get " Avec Toi: The Best of the Early Years ," which contains much of the music the québecois were hearing for years before she learned English well enough to sing for Americans.

Her voice speaks another language
Who can say anything bad about this amazing person. She is an inspiration and I hope to see her live one day. I don't speak french but think it's a beautiful language and have enjoyed listening to all her french albums. This is by far one of my favs and so glad she is still producing music. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Her voice speaks another language.

This album is a masterpiece. The musical compositions are beyond description...fantastic. Celine has created a body of work in this album that will define this period in her very complicated life...hands down. You don't have to understand French to "get" the impact of the emotional messages in each song. My favorite songs were "Ordinaire" / "Plus qu'ailleurs"/ "Encore un soir"/ "Les yeux au ciel"....actually, I loved each and every song in this album. Best buy!!!

Some of her best work
At the risk of sounding pretentious, I have to say her French albums are always better than the English ones; this is no exception. The songs are lyrically more intimate and personal here. She'll bring you to tears, make you appreciate the little things, make you pound your chest in triumph, and share a glimpse into her life as an ordinary girl living the life of a pop singer. This album is one you can't wait to learn ASAP so you can belt it out right along with her. I rank it up there with "D'eux" and "1 fille & 4 types" as some of her best work. This album will be on repeat for the foreseeable future on all my devices.
