Brother Genuine P-touch PTH111 P-Touch Pro Label Maker

When selecting a label maker, start with the tape. The brother’s TZE tape has the best adhesion and strength. Lesser label makers use brothers BTag tape with is just junk. This label maker works great and the TZE tape is superior.

It works great and very easy to use. Swapping out different sized tapes is a breeze. The only negative is that it needs a lot of batteries, but since I don't use mine too often, I just keep the batteries out until needed. So far the labels have all stayed in place and the ink is still visible.

Took a bit to learn its functions. Print quality is good. As others have said, it is wasteful of tape on the first label. There is a way to chain labels for printing. Unfortunately, chaining does not work for flag labels. I don't have a large flag label need. So I can live with the waste on each label.

Easy to use once you understand the menu options. I've made about 30 labels over 2 weeks, no problems so far. Cheaper knock off label refill is working well. It's a lot of batteries, we'll see how long they last.

I always find brother products to be really well-made and reasonable. I was surprised when I found that the AC adapter was not included. Other than batteries, I’ve never bought a product like this where you had to purchase separately a way to turn the product on. The seller should have made it very clear that the AC adapter was sold separately and then provide a link for the adapter. The missing adapter added another $10 to the cost of the product. Because the missing adapter information was slyly phrased and buried in the description, I was not able to look for a less expensive option. Yes I can return it and it’s tempting, but I don’t want to go through the hassle. Disappointing!

Perfect size for home office reasonably priced and works every time I grab it.

This is my 2nd Brother P-Touch Pro. I bought the first one around 15 - 20 years ago. That one is still running perfectly, however this model is hand held and half the width as my original. Making it more useful for in the field labeling. My expertise is in high end residential, commercial and industrial security systems from IP Camera surveillance, access, fire alarms, and intrusion. A great tool for your jobs to have the professional touch. Just this morning I visited a large industrial site which was not my client, and noted that the installers wrote designations and details on White electrical tape with a permanent marker. Their installation such as wiring and choice of equipment was very good, Yet a poor presentation of the lack of proper identification labels. My company has 4 Zebra office label printers, 2 Dymo, and 2 Brother. I rate the Brother and the Zebra as TOP performers. BTW the Zebra are in office only printers using Thermal transfer labels. They have their place in the chain, but are not portable as the new Brother.

This was the only label maker I could find that met my needs. Which were: - QWERTY - Has all symbols front facing, enter by holding shift and the key - No Bluetooth/Smartphone bs - It has a history mode so even if a symbol doesn't exist on the keyboard its easy to access - Good font, BIG labels. CON: - Cannot seem to get rid of the wasted/empty spacing on the sides even with trying all the different settings
