Perfect for short-term storage of smaller loaves of sweet breads ...
I needed bread bags, not for regular or artisan loaves of bread, but rather my sweet breads. I’ve been making a lot of pumpkin and banana breads and like to have bread bags on hand. I can store a bread right on the counter on a small platter without having to worry about wrapping and unwrapping the loaf. I find that it’s easy to put my breads on end and pull back the bread wrapper, cut off a slice, and slip the rest back in the bag. Now, the size of these bags will fit anything that goes in a 5” x 9” loaf pan. It’s not a large bag, but just perfect for those smaller sweet breads. I can also put rolls or other baked goods in them, but I ordered them specifically for the smaller loafs I bake. I find they are perfect to use when I “gift” a bread. I can put a bread in one of these bags practically out of the oven and run it over to a friend’s house. The bags are sturdy, but not quite as heavy-duty as the standard loaf bags one gets in a store. They are quite lightweight, but perfect for my use. It all depends on what one wants to use them for. For my use they are perfect, but as I mentioned, if you’re going to make artisan bread or full-sized loaves, take a pass. If you’re using them like I do, you’ll love them. I’m storing them right along with my flour in a plastic bin. Love these little bags and when I run out, I’ll be purchasing them again.NOTE: I purchased these as an Amazon Add-On, but the Verified Purchase badge is not showing up.

Just Fine
I've seen other reviews that these are too small. They are smaller than some others, but just what I was looking for. I cut my loaves in half, and these bags will work just fine for my bread. Bags are bags, in all different sizes. One needs to know what size they want before ordering them, as with any other item they buy. These will work for me, and they came with the ties, making this a good buy for me. No complaints at all. Expect to do more business with them in the future. If this helps. I just made a 2LB loaf in my bread machine. A Hamilton Beach Model #29881. My 2 LB loaf does not fit these bags, but it's close. For the whole 2LB loaf, I use bags that measure 12"X18" that I got off of Ebay. Those bags fit the entire loaf, with room to close the bag and tie it off. I only mention this because of so many reviews about these bags here not fitting their loafs. These bags will work if you cut the loaf in half. Hope this info helps someone. I'm not trying to steer people away, just trying to help. Hamilton Beach HomeBaker 29881 2 lb. Bread Machine

Not Bad
I bought these bags for my bread that I make. They are plastic and thin but they work to share with others.

These plastic bags work well but check the size before you buy
I use these bags to hold sugar and flour (and assorted other like size food items) in the freezer. I initially bought them to hold my home made bread (using a bread machine) but the size of my loaf of homemade bread (2Lb) does not fit in these bags. It also turns out that I slice and freezer my bread in two slice packages so I no longer needed a loaf size bag. So I looked for other ways to use the bags (see above uses). The bags are made of relatively light plastic so I wouldn't use them for long term freezer storage but for a week or two, they do the job. Overall I am happy with them, the bags come with a package of twist ties.

Finally a way to store home baked bread without a hassle.
I started making bread and quickly found that storing it was an issue. Traditional food storage bags just won't hold a loaf of bread without cutting off the ends. I was frustrated with this and decided to order bread load bags. These have worked out great. I've been able to place the entire loaf in the bag after it cools from cooking. The bags are long enough to be able to close well. They seem to be a little thicker than food storage bags so I will probably be able to reuse a bag several times before throwing it out. These will also be great for gifting banana bread because it would fit well, close securely, and I'd be able to put ribbon and a gift tag on it easily.

They are sturdy enough for crusty breads!
I use the plastic bags for the bread, bagels, and pastries donated to our food pantry by Panera Bread. They are sturdy and do not tear when used for crusty breads. Thank you!

These bags DO NOT fit a loaf of bread...
I was just about to contact the seller thinking they made a mistake and sent me the wrong bags but I decided to read the reviews first. I normally read the reviews before buying most products but I really didn't think I had to for bags for loaves of bread. I recently purchased a breadmaker, cookbooks, a bread slicer and these bags all from Amazon.com so I was excited to start baking bread. After my first loaf I got a bag out and I'm sure the look on my face was priceless. Since I'm new to baking bread I thought I must be doing something wrong, these bags are for bread! The picture is misleading and these bags are absolutely NOT for loaves of bread. Maybe the skinny ones, like the baguettes, but not regular bread. I have bought many items on Amazon and this is the first review I have ever left, in part because I feel like the reviewers will help future consumers make better decisions. I also feel that Amazon needs to tell the seller to remove the picture of the loaves of bread in the bags and replace it with what you are actually getting. They also need to list the size in its description.
