Clifford T Ward had one hit and a host of records that did not sell as well as they should have. This album, Home Thoughts, was the best of them all and the tracks are all superb, blending lyrics that paint pictures reflecting everyday life with flowing melodies. The title track is based on Robert Browning's famous poem and - living as I do, very happily in the US - makes me long for home back in England. Clifford T Ward's best album may well be one of your best - I'm still listening to it regularly 40 years after it was released. If you like this, try "Mantle Pieces," "Escalator" and "Both of Us." Are all superb.

A long lost forgotten masterpiece. Gaye is magnificent; the rest is great.Very English sounding; lush and romantic.Do yourself a favour.

One of the most underrated singer/songwriters of the 20th century.. Home Thoughts From Abroad - the title track, is the ultimate in romantic, dreamy, thought provoking observation, beautifully crafted. A couple of other real winners including "Gaye" but after a few listens most songs are really interesting and musical. I wish I'd discovered this wonderful man properly years ago. Sadly he is no longer with us having succumbed to that insidious disease Multiple Sclerosis in 2001 (I think).

Pure nostalgia! Still got my vinyl LP but great to have the CD. Would be even better if the lyrics were included but price is really low - my expectations too high! Excellent vendor - prompt despatch. Thank you!

I received this product but was slightly disappointed with the CD itself inside on the CD it said CLIFFORD T WARD (which was ok) then underneath it said HOME THOUGHT (to which it should have said (HOME THOUGHTS FROM ABROAD). It plays absolutely fine but was just disappointed with that small detail.? Perhaps the supplier may know why?

love this CD and the artist, poetry set to music, Seems to be just as popular nowadays as he was in the 70's shows you good music never dies !!

Nostalgia

Remember loving the song Gaye in the 70s, just found Clifford T Ward again and after reading the reviews on here I bought Home Thought's, so glad I did, what a beautiful cd, love it so much, cant praise it enough, one of the reviewers on here said there isn't a bad track on it and he's right, enjoyed them all.

You could sit and listen to this poets lyrics or you could put this on as background at a dinner party, either way its lovely gentle words and music dont knock it till youve tried it

Lovely album from a lovely singer/songwriter, brings back memories of my youth in the 70s. Clifford was a great talent who left us far to soon. Rest Easy Clifford T Ward.

I was really dissappointed that the quality I obtained when trying to copying my cassette just didn't cut it so buying this was well worth the cash. See also 'Mantle Pieces'. Both were on one cassette.
