Essential Trig-based Physics Study Guide Workbook: The Laws of Motion (Learn ...

I am using this workbook as a supplement to Halliday and Resnick's physics text. The motion problems in this workbook help me get back to stuff now forgotten. As the title implies this is NOT a textbook but a workbook for motion problems. I find the problems and their brief explanations VERY useful and wish I had this crutch when I had to trudge through my first physics course. Excellent supplementary reading and workbook. Another triple with bases loaded by Chris McMullen.

Great Book

Nice book, step by step. Might use in tandem with text that gives more description of the physics, like defining what projectile motion is instead of just how to calculate the distances, velocities, and time. Great for introductory problem solving.

This book makes learning easier.

This book was a life saver. I’ve been out of college for 5 years and recently decided to go back to pursue vet medicine. I’ve never needed physics before, and my math skills were rusty. I spent many nights crying in frustration the first month of two of class, as I struggled to understand what seemed like simple stuff. Once I got this book I took it to every class. Even the TA referenced it from time to time as he was a physics PHD candidate. I did almost every section and ended up getting an A in the course, making me one of the top students in my class. I just bought the one with magnetism and electricity for college physics 2!

Excellent supplement to any college student taking a first-year physics course (non calculus based). Explains physics concepts clearly, with plenty of worked out examples.
