My female calico who is getting to an advanced age was never fussy over the oral lysine gel we used to treat her. For that reason I was reluctant to try these treats but wanted something she could take that was less stressful for the both of us. At first it wasn't a success, but after luring her in with a regular treat and then rewarding her with another one afterward she was eventually consuming these treats without the need for the non-medicinal ones.
