the model NF-8209
it does not give the right cable length! I tried it out with a 150 foot run and it said it was 20ft, tried it on a 25ft run and it said it was 7ft! The unit comes with a Declaration card that says they couldn't get the right chip for it but it will come close. If I had known this I would have bought the one for 144

I like everything about this. I tested it against a Bell Canada wire tracer, they are not compatible with each other. The unit works perfectly. It measures length, crossed, shorted or open wires. Tracer works great. In analog test mode, it finds live wires. The only thing I wished it had was maximum frequency over the pairs, but for that you have to pay more than $1000.

Bought this to diagnose problems in my home network. We build an addition and there are a lot of ethernet connections to get right. This unit work incredibly well... it is very simple to use and really accurate. Continuity, cable length, POE voltage tests and wire finder give you a lot to go on. I am handy and understand basic wiring... but I am not a technician. I recommend for anyone who doesn't want to pay someone $75 an hour to run basic, detailed tests.
