Can this be disposed of in a normal sink?

Hahaha. The proper answer is "refer to your local and state regulations for disposal of this product." What I would do is dump it down the sink. It isnt going to harm your pipes or anything. This is such a small amount it won't screw up your local POTW either. If you had a drum, then we would have to get creative.

I’m looking for old laxatives with this ?

This is NOT to be used as a laxative. It is NOT for human consumption. This phenolphthalein indicator is commonly used with acid/base titrations.

Does this item expire?

No, it does not expire. It will out last the bottle probably! Since it is not in alcohol it will not even evaporate if you forget to put the cap back on right away.

We currently use Phenolphthalein indicator containing 42 % Isopropanol. Will this work the same ?

Yes. It will work the same, but it is safer because it is not flammable.
