I kept putting it down and life got in the way. Luckily this is one that you can pick up from wherever you stopped so you don't HAVE to restart if you don't want to. We spend so much time disconnected from ourselves and this book is just a nice stepping stone to get back that self-fire. That's what I loved the most. The book is filled with inspiration, motivation, beautiful affirmations, quotes, and prayers. As with "Light is the New Black", most of the chapters end with questions to ask and answer yourself. They're simple questions but not ones we ask ourselves generally. A book to reconnect with your divine feminine and spirituality
It's taken me almost a year to finish this book because I restarted twice. I kept putting it down and life got in the way. A must Read for Every Woman

My current read! great book
Wow, Wow, Wow, i run into this book by looking for a meditation on youtube and i clearly see how I was meant to read this book. Very inspiring story for all of us women who are ready to rise, shine and let our voice be heard.

Reads like a love letter from a long lost sister
The verbage is a bit "hippy dippy" for me, but if you can look past that detail...This is a very uplifting and nourishing read. Reads like a love letter from a long lost sister. Points out how centuries of patriarchal, linear, and "god"-fearing systems have stripped sacredness, freedom, and truth from the lives of countless women and others.The author is gentle and insightful, helping the reader come to terms with a long terror- and oppression-filled history, how those events have manifested in our current psyche, and raising up in hope and adulation for a new era of sacred sisterhood. She gives concrete steps to reclaiming and aligning yourself and your sacred energy, like "worship the seasons" and "connect with nature". Things that seem obvious once your read them, but are so hidden and scared by the systems we live in that you'd never have thought of it yourself. A freeing, humbling, and encouraging read for all. Recommend.

the initiation to the sacred feminine
currently on a journey to get more in touch with my feminine side, I felt nurtured by this book though I wish the author wasn’t so repetitive and would go more in-depth with the topics that she explored as I felt it always only covered the tip of the iceberg, but stopped there this book got me closer to inquiring within and gave me that push to search deeper for other books and resources that would speak deeper to my soul either way, it’s a great introduction to anyone looking to walk the sacred feminine path

Love this book! Highly recommend
Highly recommend this book! I enjoyed it so much this is my "go to gift" for all of my friends. This really helped on my healing journey and self discovery. I love the prompts where there are spaces to answer the questions the author asks in the book. Must have!

Are you ready to rise?
Part prose, part poetry, and full of soul this book is a call to action. It is about stepping into your power as a woman and understanding the meaning of sisterhood. There are healing exercises, rituals, and meditations, as well as many things that will lead you to question your own beliefs about yourself and your role in society and to find and follow your calling. I loved Light is the New Black which spoke deeply to me on a soul level. I'll be honest, some of this one is a bit too 'woo' for me at this point in my journey, but if I take just what speaks to me it's an amazing empowering and enlightening book. So it gets 5 stars anyway. It's a book to keep returning to. If you keep it on your desk and open it in a random place each day you'll always find something that resonates on some level.
