A really, really good flashlight (even for a non-diver)
This flashlight is really impressive! The first thing you notice is the hefty build quality - it's full metal, it's weighty, it's a decent size without being too big, and it just overall feels really solid. It has a very simple intensity ring that controls the brightness level, with no complex UI to worry about. At full brightness, this thing is BRIGHT. It has tons of both flood and throw - I was able to get it to illuminate a house at about 200m/650 feet without any issues. It really surprised me how it could throw so far while being so floody at the same time - as I was trying to spotlight that house it fully lit up everything in front of me for about 50 feet. It's really impressive and I personally haven't used a light that does both throw and flood as well as this one. You get everything you need to get started in the package, too. It includes the light with a large 21700 battery preinstalled, a wrist strap, some replacement O-rings, and a USB-C cable. One of the coolest things about it is that it's a diving light designed to go up to 100m underwater, but it has integrated USB-C charging that makes it a lot more practical to take places. The port is covered by a fairly large cap on the end with O-ring sealing, so there's no anxiety about water creeping into a poorly sealed port. The battery life is also impressive, and it's rated to run for a continuous hour and 25 minutes at the extremely bright full brightness level. Do be careful though, this light gets really hot fairly quickly on high, and while it's heat dissipation system keeps it from overheating the battery and shutting off, the metal body can get pretty warm on your hand if you aren't careful. It's rated to go up to 100m underwater, and while I haven't taken it diving, I turned it on and put it in a glass of water for about 10 minutes and noticed no negative effects. Overall, this is a really awesome flashlight. I'm pretty picky about my flashlights and have a handful of nice ones, and this is maybe the one that's given me the biggest "wow" moment so far. Taking it outside at night and seeing it shine a light all the way down my street while lighting up everything in front of me was a really cool moment that I haven't experienced with a flashlight before. I would highly recommend the DL10R to anyone for any reason - it's just a really well-built flashlight that outputs a shocking amount of light. If you're on the fence, just get it!

The Perfect Diving and All-Weather Flashlight
The Wurkkos DL10R is hands down the best flashlight I’ve ever owned for underwater and extreme weather use. Whether you're diving deep or caught in a hurricane, this light is built to last. I've used it during torrential rainstorms, and it's stayed completely watertight. The IPX8 rating holds up incredibly well, ensuring zero water leakage even at significant depths. One of my favorite features is the high-capacity 21700 battery. The large battery ensures long runtime, so you’re not left in the dark when you need it most. Plus, the built-in USB-C charging port is tucked securely beneath the rear cap, keeping it protected from water and dirt, which makes recharging super convenient without having to remove the battery. The rotary switch for activation is another standout feature. It's a unique, intuitive design that allows you to cycle through different modes with ease, even while wearing gloves underwater. It’s much more reliable than traditional buttons, especially in extreme conditions. If you're looking for a dependable, powerful, and well-designed flashlight for diving, storm preparedness, or just general use in rugged environments, the Wurkkos DL10R is the one to get!

The magnetic rotary switch is a game changer
This diving light rocks! Every other flashlight I have uses a traditional switch. Those switches are fine and get the job done, but having a magnetic rotary switch is a total game changer. Most lights that use 1 switch will have you press and hold it to cycle through the modes. The rotary switch of the DL10R means that when you turn the light on, you always know what mode you are in. No more guessing. The switch being magnetic also has a really unique feeling when you turn it. It's not "clicky" because there is little resistance in each turn. This is to keep it water tight for deeper dives. Many other diving lights use magnets for this reason. It was great to see Wurkkos implement magnetic adjustment into the rotary switch. Another notable feature is the usb-c charging built in. Usb-c is everywhere now so this means you will always have a place to charge this light. Other than that, the light is well built and very robust. There are dual O rings for the battery compartment and usb-c charging cover which should keep water out. The light output is also really nice. It's more of a thrower which is exactly what you want for underwater. 4,500 lumens is plenty bright and probably more than most people will really need. They state low at 600 lumens, but to me it looks brighter than a few 700 lumen lights I have. Medium which is 1,800 lumens seems to be the sweet spot and is probably where most people will use the light. Overall this is a great light and I can't wait to take it out on more adventures.

Excellent All-Purpose Flashlight
I have not yet used this flashlight while diving as it’s still too cold where I live, so I can’t speak to its waterproofness. Pros: I was looking for a flashlight that I could use while diving, as well as for other activities during inclement weather such as hiking, walking, camping, and everyday use. This flashlight is very ergonomic and comfortable to hold and operate with one hand (rotary twist), has a very simple UI, has excellent flood and throw, uses a 90 CRI XHP70B 5000K led with a very nice tint, and has on-board USB-C charging of the single 21700 battery. It also includes a wrist lanyard and there are two o-rings at each disassembly point (head cap and tail cap). The head cap and tail cap are also very tight and somewhat difficult to unscrew, which makes me think that the flashlight will be water-tight. Cons: My biggest complaint with this flashlight is the brightness levels. The brightness levels are 600, 1800, and 4500 lumens (three total), and the lowest level is still very bright. I'd prefer to have five evenly-spaced brightness levels with two lower brightness levels (ex. 150, 300, 600, 1800, 4500 lumens), to be able to conserve battery life when needed. I’d also like the flashlight to include a pocket clip and/or belt holster for walking, hiking, and camping, as well as the ability to tail-stand. This flashlight is excellent overall and I like it very much. It is very bright, high CRI, simple and easy to use and carry, and has on-board usb-c charging. However I’d like to see additional lower brightness levels, an included pocket clip and/or belt holster, and the ability to tail-stand.

Great inexpensive dive light
Surprisingly bright for the price, I just completed 6 dives in Costa Rica and this light worked better than I expected for this price.

Excellent Dive Light
Dive light works true to specs under water and out of water. We tested it first time in 20-30 feet of water.

Mostly untested, but not a 21700 battery
Battery is an unprotected 21700 battery, which is ~6-7mm shorter than protected 21700 batteries, and thus not interchangeable. No indicator LED for battery, but the light blinks when the battery's getting low. Otherwise worked fine for the one dive I took it on.

Very bright and easy to use!
I really enjoy the simplify and brightness of this light. There’s no strobe or SOS mode, there’s no memorizing how many presses just to put make it bright, it’s just a twist of the ring for off, low, medium, and high. It’s even easy to use with gloves! Having a built-in USB-C port on a 100% waterproof light is quite the bonus and definitely an advantage of buying it over other diving lights. Just make sure you screw the cap on tight when you’re done. The beam is very floody, and if you’re comparing this to the DL80, it’s brighter, a little larger, and a little heavier. It’s just as easy to use and maybe more versatile with the built in charging port. If you’re in the market for a diving light, or just a waterproof light, this is a great option.
