M317 Compact Ambidextrous 2.4 GHz Wireless Mouse - Black

Until I retired a few years ago, I was the network admin for a small library system and I had, over the years, purchased literally hundreds of computer mice. Logitech was the brand I usually purchased as they were reliable and good value for money. So, when I needed a new mouse for my laptop, I bought another Logitech. And it is just as good as all the ones I've bought before. It fits my average size hand perfectly, the wheel and buttons are quick and easy to use, and the curser moves smoothly and accurately. It comes with batteries already installed, ready to use. I confess I am puzzled to read some of the one star reviews as I have never had any of those issues and the mice I was purchasing for the libraries were in heavy use. I can't speak to their customer service as I never had to invoke a warranty or contact customer service at all. I would recommend the Logitech M317 mouse for good, reliable, basic mouse use.

A good quality mouse for an honest price. Works well and should have replaced sooner. Recommend.

I've been a devoted fan of Logitech mice for years, and the Logitech M317 Wireless Mouse in Blue has once again exceeded my expectations. What makes it truly exceptional is not only its contemporary features but also its connection to the legacy of Logitech's commitment to quality. Here's why I consider it an outstanding choice: Great Portable Size with Cute and Classy Design: The mouse's compact size makes it highly portable, and the cute blue and black color scheme adds a touch of class. It's the perfect blend of style and functionality. Durability and Shock Resistance: This mouse is built like a tank. I've accidentally dropped it several times, and it has proven to be remarkably durable and shock-resistant. The build quality instills confidence in its longevity. Reliable and Steady Connection: The 2.4 GHz wireless technology ensures a reliable and steady connection. I've experienced no lag or interruptions during use, making it a dependable companion for everyday tasks. Very Long Battery Life and Easy to Change: The 12-month battery life is impressive, and changing the battery is a breeze. It uses a single AA battery, accommodating both alkaline and rechargeable options, providing flexibility and convenience. Great Ergonomics - Small Yet Comfortable: The mouse's ergonomic design strikes a perfect balance between being compact and comfortable. It fits snugly in my hand, and the smooth clicks make navigation a joy. Buttery and Precise Scroll Wheel: The scroll wheel is not only buttery smooth but also precise. It enhances the overall user experience, especially during long sessions of web browsing or document scrolling. Driver-Free Installation and Universal Compatibility: Setting up the M317 is hassle-free. Even during a fresh operating system installation, my computer recognized it without the need for additional drivers or a wired mouse. It's a plug-and-play device at its finest. Legacy Continuation - Upgrading from the M185: As a testament to Logitech's commitment to quality, I had been using the Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse since its release in 2011. Recently, I made the seamless transition to the M317, not because the M185 was faulty – quite the opposite. The upgrade was a choice to experience the latest in Logitech's legacy while maintaining the same old-classy mouse design that has proven its durability over the years. In conclusion, the Logitech M317 Wireless Mouse is a harmonious blend of contemporary features and a continuation of Logitech's legacy. It's not just a mouse; it's a reliable companion that combines style with substance, making it a standout choice for anyone in search of a top-notch wireless mouse.

Easy to connect, works as any other.

The simple, comfortable design of this Logitech mouse is excellent. The size is also compact, making it easy to carry on long trips. Best of all, it comes in quite a few colors. I had some trouble configuring if for my work Mac, which only has USB-C ports (ugh). Fortunately, the mouse worked perfectly after the initial setup with the Options+ app.

This mouse feels perfect in your hand and works well for the price, just as logitech is known for.

I don't know how they do it. I've had an expensive high precision mouse that needed a new battery every couple of weeks. Medium price name brand ones where the batteries lasted maybe 6 weeks. When I got this one I didn't even notice that it mentioned a year long battery life. I just got it because Logitech is a well-known brand, and it was only around 12 or 13 bucks. I got it at the beginning of May. It's near the end of September now and I realized, hey, this is still going strong on the original nondescript battery that it came with! So, I thought I'd write a review about that and that's when I noticed that the description does say that it has a one year battery life. And it's just a regular AA battery. So, this mouse will pay for itself, because it costs less than what you'd spend just on AA batteries for a year on other mice! It works just as good as any other mouse. Instant response, very precise, it's lightweight, maybe a bit smaller than some other mice I've used, but it fits comfortably in my average adult male-sized hand. Also, I've used on the go it on a variety of impromptu surfaces in addition to regular mouse pads; like on books, table tops, a 2x4 board, and even my pants leg, and it worked great on all of them. But to last this long on a single AA battery means it's amazingly efficient in terms of power consumption, and kudos to Logitech for engineering the electronics for this gadget!

I've been using this Logitech M317 wireless mouse for everyday computer work, and it's been a solid performer. Setup couldn't have been easier—just plug in the tiny USB receiver, and it was ready to use within seconds. The mouse feels comfortable in either hand, and its compact size makes it easy to take with a laptop without feeling too small for regular use. The tracking is smooth, the buttons have a nice click, and the scroll wheel works well for browsing documents and websites. Battery life has also been impressive, which is something I've come to expect from Logitech products. If you're looking for a dependable wireless mouse for work, school, or general home use, this is an excellent option at a reasonable price.

I just received the product and I'm happy so far.

Works consistently well - bought one for my school laptop too
