I put it on my cats canned food but and won't eat it, can this be mixed with liquid?

I’m sure you could but shat would you do then? I suppose you could syringe it but it’s going to be a lot of fluid to absorb all the powder. I always assumed it was kind of tasteless since my dogs don’t seem to mind it. If I was you I’d put the food back in the fridge and serve again at the next meal when she’s hungrier. Maybe put some real tuna ( in oil) on the top to disguise the taste and smell.

Why has this product doubled in price? other than greed?

You may be 100% right. Or the manufacturer may have increased costs which they’re passing on to the consumer. So much of price increases is being blamed on supply chain problems but you can never discount good old fashioned greed. I’m sure the seller is not going to answer regardless.
