I have now tested 24 of these lights through approximately 5000 dimming cycles over three weeks. I have had two failures. One of them was worrisome since a poorly soldered connection caused the printed circuit board (PCB) to melt around the positive-mains-terminal. The other was a bad photo-resistor. However, the fire-resistant materials and over-current protection present in this nightlight as requirements met in complying with their UL-certification prevented any flame or fire. Both failed nightlights were part of the same 6-pack. I have had 0 failures of these lights from other packages. These lights are as well-made as any other nightlights currently on the market. Additionally, they are a warm white LED (around 3500K) while most of their competitors use a bright white (> 4500K) LED. This is good since warm-white is less likely to wake you up at night. Overall, these are not perfect, but are my favorite nightlights on Amazon. I will be buying them again.

These look exactly like some dollar-and-a-quarter store nightlights I bought several months back. Although they’re physically identical and have the ‘dusk to dawn’ photo sensor on them, they’re at least 10x brighter than those. They’re FAR too bright for my wife and me. At night one of these lights up a room like the Vegas Strip. I guess that might be good if you’re almost blind or usually wear dark sunglasses to bed, but for us they had to be returned. I hope this helps.

Price & packaging is good, however the light is much whiter than 2700 - more like a daylight type of older LEDs. Also the light seems to be much more projected out the top of the bulb, rather than a horizontal spread of traditional night lights. It does the job in the areas I placed it, but if I was looking again I will look for a different solution. So far seems to turn on and off as expected and working well for a few days. Update: Seller contacted me and offered a refund since the light was not my satisfaction, and also send a replacement to see if it fits my needs better. Will wait and see if they follow through, but this is great customer service. Definitely reduces the risk of buying. Will update to 5 stars if they follow through.

We use them for custom made night lights and they work well with them if you scuff up the bulb to prevent "hard light".
