Hi. I'm not sure of the capacity, but it suits me very well as someone who cooks for one. Bigger than the small mini choppers but smaller and much easier to store than the full sized processor. If you check on the description on amazon it gives the dimensions.

I think it means that it needs to be charged. When none of the lights flash, it is fully charged.

Does it have an opening in the lid for adding oil etc during processing,for making mayonnaise.

Yes , that's why I wanted it in the 1st place . I think it's a great wee machine - holds it's charge for ages . Possible drawback might be that you have to press it down for it to work doesn't stay on by itself but that used to be normal with most blenders I've owned . Hope that helps .
